QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THIS REPELLENT IN AFRICA WHERE YOU HAVE MOSQUITOS CARRYING MALARIA??SUSAN
• My husband and I weren't all that impressed with the efficacy of this repellent. I would suggest something a little stronger if there's a malaria fear! Which is too bad, bc I prefer not to use anything harsh. But sadly, we got bit even when using this repellent. Enjoy your trip to Africa!
• The product info provided by Amazon.Com says: "It works great for outdoor outings, but should not be substituted for DEET-based products if you're traveling in severe insect conditions where Nest Nile virus or malaria may be prevalent. "
• Better than this in Africa...a lot of safari guides recommend http://www.naturesgift.com/aromatherapyhousehold.htm#Skeeter it is effectie against tsetse flies as well as mosquitoes.
• I had used the Repel HG-406T which had 40% Lemon Eucalyptus (discounted, unfortunately) when I went to East Africa several years ago. I was in the region for 2 weeks. It worked beautifully and I never got bitten which is a miracle because I've always been a mosquito magnet! Without exaggeration they have large mosquitoes over there and they would be repelled by the scent. Needless to say, I was very happy to use this product in the morning, later in the day, and spritz before sleeping. I plan to return Africa very soon and hoping that this 'new' or revised formula will work just as well as the other. If this fails for any reason because of the formula change, I will be bring a small essential oil bottle of pure Lemon Eucalyptus and a few other products as backup. BTW, read the discounted product where the Biologist Professor writes about his findings, and other reviews. Repel HG-406T Lemon Eucalyptus 4-Ounce Insect Repellent Pump Spray (Older Model) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)
• I've had good results using this spray extensively in both Central America and the Tropical South Pacific. I did, however, get occasional bites, but I did *not* contract malaria. It's all a numbers game: It's about reducing, not eliminating, risk. You have to weigh for yourself the risks / benefits of DEET vs nonchemical repellents. I *can* with certainty, however, say this spray is no substitute for DEET when it comes to causing skin irritation or solvating plastics ;~P
• according to Consumer Reports, it is as effective as or more effective than DEET. Read their report in June, 2015 issue.
• I really don't know the answer to this question, it works in Austin Texas. I would ask the company who put it out for sale. They should know. Sorry.

QUESTION: WHY IS THIS PRODUCT NOT LISTED AT ORGANIC?
• I thought that organic usually used to describe food or agricultural products such as cotton
• There are no organic ingredients..
• I don't know the legal requirements for listing a product as organic. This question is best directed to the manufacturer. There may be associated costs with demonstrating the "organic" label fits the legal definition that offset the benefit to the manufacturer. Since it is a topical agent and the primary ingredients are natural, I would not be too concerned, but if you are trying to verify the absence of specific pesticides or irritants, then again the manufacturer would be the best source of this information .
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE HAVE ACCESS TO THE FULL LIST OF INGREDIENTS?
• The safety data sheet says it contains 30% oil of lemon eucalyptus (naturally derived) and 45% ethanol. The other ingredients are listed as a "buffer" so probably water and something else to keep the pH at the right level. If you look at the Q&A on the Repel website, many people have asked about specific ingredients and the company will give a yes or no answer. According to the website, the product does NOT contain: fragrances, petroleum distillates, dyes, formaldehyde, perfluorinated compounds, Bronopol, DMDM hydantoin, BHA, Boric acid, Triclosan, Parabens, PEGs, phthalates, urea, Quaternium-15, Propylene glycol, Butylene glycol, sulfates, soy, nuts, milk, eggs, or gluten.
• Generally, when the label says "other" ingredients, other ingredients are the same as "inerts," or proprietary secrets, that do not have to be labeled by law. Generally speaking, the "other" ingredients may be more toxic than the labeled ingredients. "Natural" does not necessarily mean it comes from nature. In food, for example, natural is unregulated; it was the old 'conventional," made with synthetic ingredients and may legally contain Genetically Modified Organisms that give new traits to the products, that are not necessarily healthy to the wearer. Hence, the product may contain GMO's, as there is nothing in the law to prevent it. And, since petrochemicals can permeate the skin with insect repellents being no exception, use your brain and be cautious. With insect repellants as with other pesticides, the label is the law and all the manufacturer must do is inform you how to use the product and by percentage what the prod uct contains. "Natural" is not the same as "organic" as in the Organic Foods and Production Act of 1990, not organic chemistry. I would rather use essential oils with no "other" ingredients, even though essential oils that come from the essence of herbs and flowers may not be as potent as this. Or, may be in a water rather than mineral oils, which comes from petroleum.
• Sorry, On the bottle it says Euculptus oil 70% and 30% of other ingredients :(

QUESTION: I ALWAYS TRAVEL BY PLANE. CAN I CHECK IN / OUT WITH THIS PRODUCT AT THE AIR PORT? IT IS NON-FLAMMABLE AND NON-EXPLOSIVE, RIGHT?
• I had it in the luggage so i did not put it my carry on but I'm leaning towards you might run the risk of it being taken. Also the size may Exceed the amount of liquid your allowed to bring on an airplane.
• I've checked it in luggage a few times without issue. Not carry-on though. I put it in a ziplock back in case pressure were to cause any leaking, but I do that with all liquids in checked luggage.
• My guess is no. I'm pretty sure that the main ingredient is flammable and the bottle is bigger than 3.4 oz.

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED WITH SUNSCREEN?
• I would, I would put the sunscreen on and let it dry, then spray the lemon eucalyptus on over it.
• Yes- I've applied sunscreen in advance allowing it to dry and then applied the Lemon Eucalyptus. They are compatible to the best of my knowledge/experience.
• Obviously I don't speak on behalf of the manufacturer but I used it with sunscreen and didn't have any problems at all. I used sunscreen and the bug spray in close succession - just put one on and then other to get ready to go out.
• I put sunscreen on let it try then later spray this on. I don't think sunscreen comes off. Not sure though. I just spray this stuff on me and all the clothes I am wearing
• Sure..but the sunscreen will be as effective in discouraging mosquitoes..
• I'm not sure if you are asking about the safety of using this with sunscreen, or the effectiveness. As for safety, since there is no DEET in this product, so I have never hestitated to use this with sunscreen. (I do NOT use DEET with sunscreen.) As for effectiveness, I usually put the sunscreen on first, then this repellent. NOTE: I have found it easier to apply this repellent to the skin by spraying it on my hand first then wiping on the skin. If you are applying it to clothing, the sprayer works fine. Also, after using your hand to wipe it on the skin, WASH your hands immediately, because you will eventually touch your eyes or mouth, and this stuff is no fun in the eyes and yucky in the mouth.
• I put sunscreen on let it dry then later spray this on. I don't think sunscreen comes off. Not sure though. I just spray this stuff on me and all the clothes I am wearing
• I would assume it could, but I don't know for sure.

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON MY DOG?
• You probably could, although I wouldn't spray it near the dog's face. I found it to be a bit irritating. Maybe start with a small area to make sure it doesn't bother him or her. But my dogs don't seem particularly bothered by mosquitoes, which seems to be the main thing this repels. I rely on their canine flea&tick to protect them against most other insects.
• I spray it on my dog's back around the shoulder blades similar to a Frontline application. The key is to apply in a way they cannot lick it up at all. Also I do NOT rub it into the skin but only on the fur surface. That way you avoid skin irritation.
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: IS IT EFFECTIVE WITH MAY FLIES AND TICKS FOUND IN THE NORTHEAST?
• Roy, It seems to do a good job "when fresh" (apply it twice over an 8hr period). However, it is just a repellent, which means that its efficacy depends on how hungry the nasty bugs are.
• I live a little bit north of Boston, actually. The package says that it's effective just for flying insects (like mosquitoes and may flies) but the older bottle I have does say it repels ticks - there may be 2 strengths available. I spend a lot of time in the woods and have not had any issues with ticks, and this is all I've used for years. I hadn't noticed the label change until now. This really does work for hours - I tried everything else before switching to Repel. The scent-free version works almost as well.
• We live in the Midwest and it repels mosquitos. Not sure about anything beyond that, sorry!
• I'm in the Northwest so I have no experience with mayflies. It does do an excellent job with mosquitoes.
• I'm in Maryland, near Baltimore. I don't generally get ticks, so I can't comment on those, and I'm not sure what mayflies are. However, what I can say is that I usually get various bugs... mosquitos, gnats, biting flies, and they all seem to stay away when I use this. You have to cover every inch though, if you miss a spot, they find it!
• Sorry Ray, I don't know because I only applied it once before returning it, as I had an allergic reaction to it. The scent is VERY strong, and I couldn't stop sneezing until I washed it off with soap and water.

QUESTION: HOW TO PROTECT A CAT FROM MOSQUITO BITES?
• There are a lot of products designed specifically for cats. A quick Google search will produce many results.... Look up Bio-Spot flea and tick
• I'm probably not going to be of much help here. My cats don't seem all that crazy about the smell of this stuff so they'll likely run if you spray them with it.
• I haven't used this on my cats (they are indoor) but I do use it on my dogs. I spray it on my hands and rub on their fur and carefully on their faces avoiding direct contact with their eyes and nostrils. They don't like it much but I haven't seen any ill effects.
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: DOES THIS PROTECT AGAINST AEDES MOSQUITOES?
• It reflects mosquitoes but I am not sure about Aedes? Do not wear anything scented, this will help repel
• suggest you research according to the part of the world you seek protection in...here in New England, where I use it, there are no Aedes mosquitoes....you may have to use Deet sprayed on clothing and netting indoors, which I did when traveling in Africa
• I am not sure all of the exact species but I can testify whatever types I have in my area will not touch me with Repel applied. I have watch them venture near and then flee while gardening. If can always call Call 1-800-558-6614 to get more information about this product.
• It should repel all species of mosquitoes, and you can spray it on clothing and gear, it works as well as or better than DEET, according to Consumer Reports research. There is also a Repel Permethrin Clothing and Gear insect repellent that lasts up to 2 weeks, and kills as well as repels.
• From the CDC re: Insect repellent against the Aedes mosquitoes: FOR PROTECTION AGAINST MOSQUITOES ONLY: Products with one of the following active ingredients can also help prevent mosquito bites. Higher percentages of active ingredient provide longer protection. DEET at least 25% Picaridin (also known as KBR 3023, Bayrepel, and icaridin) Oil of lemon eucalyptus (OLE) or PMD IR3535 Always use insect repellent as directed. Additional information can be found on the CDC website. http://chile.usembassy.gov/easter-island-dengue-alert.html

QUESTION: IS THIS GOOD FOR KIDS?
• Very! They love the scent and it doesn't sting.
• I'm a kid at heart...and it didn't bother me. Did not see any warning saying not to use on kids. Bottom line this stuff works...
• I use it on my child, age 10. I spray onto him. For his neck//ears etc. I spray onto my hands and rub onto him. It will sting your eyes.
• Yes, it's perfectly safe for children (and pets).
• Read the description: Oil of lemon eucalyptus-based repellent products are safe for children ages 3 years and older
• I believe so, as it. Is Deet free and natural.
• Sorry, I don't know
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS? DOES IT CONTAIN SOY, CORN, OR ANY OTHER COMMON ALLERGENS?
• The official website indicates that the company does not disclose what the 70% inactive ingredients are. I didn't know that companies were allowed to do that :( If you are worried about specific allergens, they will tell you though, if you ask on the www.repel.com product page.
• I called (1-800-917-5438 is the number), they refused to tell me if it contained any soy (my son has anaphylactic contact allergies). I would never buy a product where they refused to tell you if it's safe!
• You can call the manufacturer directly for details at 1-800-880-1181 or go to www.repel.com and check www.consumerreports.com as they have comments on this particular product. Hope it helps!
• Contains. .30%.oil of eucalyptus. Approximate 65% p-methane...3,8diol.....none of the items you mentioned. .The mosquito that I run into are large and this stuff works in repelling them . I bought 6 bottles. ..I hope this helps you.
• If you are enquiring about the "Repel" Lemon Eucalyptus insect repellent, all I can say is that it seems to contain 30% oil of lemon eucalyptus. I have no knowledge of any other ingredients, as they are not listed on the label.
• On the bottle it says: DEET free. It's active ingredient is derived from the leaves of a lemon eucalyptus tree. They have a website www.repel.com for more details.

QUESTION: DOES THIS STAIN CLOTHING?
• I wouldn't spray directly on clothing but underneath on my skin it was fine.
• No...this product did not stain my clothes
• I didn't saturate, a lightspray however left no obvious residue. I sprayed heavier on our boots (leather) again with no obvious residue when dry. it really is a nice product and performs well. The initial scent is very strong but disipates within 30min or so.
• No - I have used it on skin touching all different kinds of clothing and there have been no problems
• I haven't noticed any staining. It smells really good and works great!
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: DOES THIS CONTAIN GMO?
• This is a good question. Currently, only soybean, maize (corn), rapeseed (canola oil), cottonseed oil, alfafa (animal feed), sugar beets and papaya are genetically modified (GMO) crops. This product does however, contain ethanol, much of which is derived from corn. Unfortunately, most corn grown in this country is GMO at this point in time, UNLESS it is organic. Presently, all foods labeled organically grown CANNOT be GMO. If you want to be sure that this does not contain GMO ethanol you will have to contact the manufacturer directly. I intend to do that myself which is why I think this is a good question. This also tells the manufacturer that the public has concerns about GMO and its uses on and in our bodies. My biggest concern would be the heavy use of Roundup (or glyphosates) on these GMO crops and then our exposure to them. Recent studies show that glyphosates are toxic especially for children.
• Well, since there is no labeling required, you would have to contact the manufacturer and find who his providers for the materials are and then contact them to find out. I honestly am not chuffed if there is GMO in it since it's the only bug spray I can use.
• I can not answer that question because I no longer have the the container. Sorry! The company that nakes it should be able to answer.I'd go straight for the company.
• I have no idea.
#Repel_Lemon_Eucalyptus_Natural_Insect

QUESTION: IS THIS GOOD
• I love this repellent spray. It works just as well, if not better than, the more toxic chemical ones. Best of all, I enjoy the lemon and eucalyptus scent. I order it online all the time.
• Yes - it worked well unless I was in an area that was thick with mosquitoes.
• Yes! It works well, keeps bugs away, applies easily and does not smell bad.
• Yes, I found this brand to be very effective against mosquitos, without all the chemicals of other sprays.
• We have been buying this product for years. It works and we love it. I would highly recommend this product.
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: SINCE THIS IS DEET-FREE, DO YOU HAVE TO WASH YOUR SKIN AFTER GOING INDOOR? IS IT OK TO LEAVE IT ON WHEN EATING OR GOING TO BED?
• Instructions indicate to wash. I didn't and nothing happened.
• I didn't have the option to wash it off before I ate, but it is a spray bottle so I never really got it on my hands. I would recommend showering before bed if there's option and it's directly on skin.
• I have never bothered to wash it off, other than normal showers. I doubt it would taste good, and doubt it would be a problem if you got some in your mouth. it's the combo of eucalyptus & lemon, nether toxic, that keeps mosquitos and flies off. I've had excellent luck with it, even on my dog's ears.
• This product is very strong. You must wash after going inside. I don't recommend this. The smell is overpowering. The smell does get a little better after time, but then the bugs start biting again. I can't use this product.
• I do not wash it off, I'm usually in and out all day, in my garden, hiking on nature trails with my dogs, and when I come in to start dinner, I just wash my hands. I have rather sensitive skin, and I can get allergic rashes, but I've had no problem with lemon eucalyptus.
• There's nothing to harm you. So, I'd say it's fine to leave on.
#Eucalyptus_Natural_Insect

QUESTION: IS IT SAFE ON TODDLERS?
• I haven't used yet and don't have a toddler. According to this website, CDC doesn't recommend using on toddlers under 3 yrs old. http://www.ewg.org/research/ewgs-guide-bug-repellents/kids.
• Avoid using eucalyptus oils on little ones. The reason is that the components of oils like eucalyptus, rosemary, and peppermint oils can cause breathing problems in children under 10 years of age. I imagine that this product is diluted enough, though, that you can stick with the manufacturer's recommendation of at least 3 years and older.
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE EXPIRATION DATE? AND IF I RECEIVE IT AND IT'S EXPIRED WHAT SHOULD DO?
• There isn't an expiration date on my bottle. If there was, and it was expired, it would only mean it wasn't as strong as it would be if it weren't expired. If you DID recieve it and it DOES have an expiration date AND it's past that date...then tell the company and send it back for a refund! But again, there isn't an expiration date that I can find.
• The bottles that I ordered(8) do not have an expiration date printed on the bottle. Other than that it is a fantastic product. We have a lot of mosquitos now in Houston, Texas with all the rain we've been getting so I always spray it on my feet and arms and behind my ears( that's were I get bitten a lot) and I do not get ANY mosquito bite every single time with no exception. Also it did not produced me any allergy while using, Off, Cutter or other brands I get an allergic reaction, red skin and burning sensation. I would not worry about any expiration date since the product is a plant based so no chemicals to damage your skin. Hope this help. Ill never buy any other mosquito spray again, that's why I bought 8 bottles for the entire summer.
#Repel_Lemon_Eucalyptus_Natural_Insect

QUESTION: DOES IT REPEL FLEAS?
• Not to my knowledge
• Out of desperation, I'm using it to repel fleas and it works, thank goodness. It works for 5 or 6 hours. Applying it to my feet and calves only.
• Yes, in fact it does. We had a severe flea infestation in our yard this year, and while I was in the process of dealing with that, I used this on my socks and lower legs. Using white socks I could previously see the fleas jumping on when walking through the infested areas, and using the Repel, saw none, or if one did jump on, they quickly jumped off.
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: IS THIS SWEAT AND WATER RESISTANT?
• It does not wash off easily with water, need soap, because of oils. Same with sweat.
• I would say it's sweat proof we used it once and danced all night out side for our party and had no problems. It actually smells nice and not like "bug spray" and absorbed into our skin nicely. As far as water proof .. I don't have the chance to test that out.
• Only for a little bit, I find when I sweat it gets into my pores
• No. This would wash off rather easily. But I do not know of any repellants that are water resistant or even sweat resistant if you are really sweating a lot.
• No, if you sweat profusely or are running you will have to reapply. Say every 2 hours... For me I didn't really have issues in the Rain forests of Costa Rica but my wife did and had to reapply. But she'd got a high lactic acid content and any mosquito in 5 miles seems to find her. I don't believe anything is 100% especially in the "natural solution vein"...if in doubt bring multiple types. The next step up is Sawyer 20% Picaridin...then if that fails there's the bomb Sawyer 100% Deet Jungle Juice....dont forget your travel shots

QUESTION: I'M HEADING TO THE JUNGLES OF NIGERIA. WILL THIS PRODUCT EFFECTIVE AGAINST SAND FLEAS?
• 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent Lotion, 2-Ounce by 3M - seems this is a better choice for going Africa with biting flies etc. Ed
• Never used it in Nigeria - but it was effective against highly aggressive flies and mosquitoes in South Dakota - we were very impressed especially for the kids [ages 8 - 14 months]. I also had some Max DEET and deep woods OFF with me that I used on occassion - but not on the kids. Ed
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: HAS ANYONE USED THIS AS WELL ECO DEFENSE BUG SPRAY - ALL NATURAL MOSQUITO REPELLENT? WHICH IS BETTER? HOW DO THEY COMPARE?
• I haven't used the eco product, but I'd point out that the lemon eucalyptus is the only DEET-free product to get approval from the World Health Organization for combatting maleria. I have tried other natural products and thought they had some effect, but nothing stellar.
• I used this when I play golf. Nothing better to keep the bugs away. This Natural repel is the best. Works better than anything I have tried.
• I've used the Repel Lemon Eucalyptus, but not the Eco defense all natural. The Repel performed very well for me during my trip to Africa. It's a bit strong but did the job well. Out of all of my team mates, who all used other repellents, I got one mosquito bite, while they were covered in bites. I would use the Repel again for sure.
• I have used it and it actually worked better than the OFF I normally use. I was also on a tropical island where there are a lot of mosquitos. Once I sprayed this on the mosquitos disappeared. My husband and I were impressed and I feel it has to be safer to put on my skin.

QUESTION: WILL ONE BOTTLE LAST 7 DAYS WITH 2 PERSONS USING, 2 TIMES EACH PER DAY?
• Easily...great product!!!
• yes
• I think it should last for 7 days but the scent is pretty strong though. From my experience in Hawaii, it was not that effective.
• yes
• Depends how much of your body you want to spray...if just arms or just legs, would ...but when I'm outside it S my arms, legs, neck and rub it on my face too...I would get two bottles just to be safe
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK ON TICKS?
• I actually just conducted an experiment with a tick today. picked up a tick clinging to my kitties fur when he came in the house and immediately I thought instead of just squeeze him to death I should see what happens when exposed to this product which I had laying around. so I applied one pump to the underside of my wrist and smeared all around my wrist like wearing a bracelet. then I released the tick on the same hand and watched what he did for 10 min. every time he came close to my wrist he would turn around and go the other direction. I don't know but that is pretty damn good sign. one thing I have realized experimenting with ticks is that they have a keen sense of smell and apparently they don't like certain smells. I tried putting some of this stuff on when I go to bed and all night I was going crazy with the smell but I suppose it's better than getting lyme or powson virus. nasty little things
• not good
• I don't know cuz I haven't used item. I think I put that in my review. but if you go back to the item on Amazon and scroll down it says repels ticks
#Eucalyptus_Natural_Insect

QUESTION: WOULD THE SMELL OF THIS ATTRACT BEARS OR OTHER WILD ANIMALS?
• It has a strong lemon odor to it. I don't believe bears and other wild animals would eat lemons, but I am not sure about Repel attracting them. I personally would not hesitate to wear it in the woods hiking. If hunting it would be a give away on your whereabouts.
• I have no idea. I just thought it was very strong and overpowering. I would rather use unscented OFF than use this.
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: COULD THIS BE USED ON A 1 YEAR OLD?
• On the label it states "do not use on children under the age of three"
• Don't know what the manufacturer would say, but I wouldn't recommend it. My son works for a utility company and is in people's homes a lot. He says this repellent works okay, but the people he deals with are always asking what the smell is on him. He quit using it for that reason. Babies are very sensitive to both smells and chemicals that irritate their skin. Probably best to ask your doctor before using it. Just my opinion.
• The label says not to use it for children under the age of three. Personally I would use it but not on their hands or anywhere near the eyes or on any place that it would end up in the eyes. It sure is safer than deet for anybody. I bought it too late in the season to use it more than one day but that day it seemed to do as well as deet just lot as long as deet. I am no expert but you need to decide whether to use the oil of the eucalyptus tree or something like deet and I sure would never use deet on a child. Sorry I can't be of more help.
#Repel_Lemon_Eucalyptus_Natural_Insect

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE? I.E. HOW LONG CAN THE UNUSED PRODUCT LAST IN THE BOTTLE AND STILL BE EFFECTIVE?
• I bought 6 bottles. .still using the first. .no reason to believe the others won't perform as needed. .we had lots of rain. ..mosquito haven. .This stuff works great. And no WORRIES ABOUT DEET.
• i have used repel that was from last season. it worked fine. i usually don't have any left to test it for over a year.
#Repel_Lemon

QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE REASONS THIS PRODUCT CANNOT BE USED ON PETS?
• Although the manufacturer does not state this specifically, online there are comments that pets are likely to get this product into their eyes, nose, and/or mouths from licking or rubbing sprayed areas of fur which will burn and irritate a great deal, and also that the strong smell of this product will be difficult for pets with keen senses of smell (dogs and cats, particularly) to tolerate.
• Like many natural plant oils, lemon eucalyptus is an irritant. Always look for the Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any product before you buy. In this case, find it by googling "repel 94109 msds" and you'll get the sheet (MSDS-305-62-July10.pdf). Basically, this will cause injury to the eyes or if swallowed.
• It's much better to use the essential oil on pets, diluted or combined with other oils, and dot it on the spine (one drop at the base of the neck, one mid-back, one at base of tail. The skin oils distribute it, more effective and less irritating to the dog than spraying on the fur.
#Eucalyptus_Natural_Insect

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK ON NSSEEUMS
• I'm assuming you are referring to "no see-ums." Yes, it works very well. It's good stuff. All-natural, too.
• The few times I've used it so far, it seemed to work. And it smells nice. And doesn't contain DEET.
• yes, It works very well, It is smell good and is no toxic. I love it for my kids.
• best thing barbara, is to do a google search on topic. Cheers!.
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: DOES THIS PRODUCT REPEL TICKS?
• Here is a quote from the Product Description on the site: "Enjoy up to six hours of DEET-free protection from mosquitoes, deer ticks, and other biting insects with Repel Plant-Based Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent." Before I bought this product I researched it thoroughly on-line. I found numerous professional reviewers, including Consumer Search and Consumer Reports, who rated it very highly in repelling ticks in tests that included products containing DEET. In other words, it was considered as good as the best DEET-containing products. In fact, the reviews were all excellent, and that's why I bought it.
• I have used this for two seasons now...does not repel ticks for me.
• I really don't know but I personally would not trust it too. The ingredients in this spray are natural and plant based and does not contain Deet. While it does a pretty good job with misquitos, I would not expect it to repel ticks as stronger products containing Deet are needed. Hope that helps.

QUESTION: WOULD THIS REPEL BED BUGS?
• Sorry I have no idea
• i would say absolutely not, but ive not tried that so i can't really claim to know anything. it didn't work on mosquitoes for me, i can't imagine it would work for bed bugs. i did see a cool trap on you tube made with a pop bottle and dry ice that caught lots of bed bugs, i guess they are attracted to the carbon dioxide.

QUESTION: WHY IS 1 4OZ BOTTLE 7.56 & 2 4OZ BOTTLES 28.00? THANKS
• So the purchase qualifies for free prime shipping benefits
• Golfer walks into the pro shop at the local course and asks the golf pro if they sell ball markers. The golf pro says they do, and they are $1.00. The guy gives the golf pro a dollar. The golf pro opens the register, puts the dollar in, and hands him a dime to use as the marker. This economic model is also used by the governments.
• Because of the whole 'add on' thing Amazon does? I'm not sure. I was going to order one, then I noticed it wouldn't qualify for Prime shipping. I did order another product, too, but ended up getting two. Worth it to me! I was getting ate alive before.
• Different sellers. The single bottle is sold by Amazon and the 2 and 6 packs are sold by third party sellers. If you want 2 bottles or more and the lower Amazon price simple select the single bottle and then select the quantity that you desire. Amazon will sell you as many single bottles as you want.

QUESTION: DOES IT REPEL WASPS?
• Like many essential oils, Eucalyptus does work to repel wasps. I still recommend the tried and true tactic. RUN!
• I don't know if it repels wasps, but I've never been stung by a wasp while wearing it.
• I'm not sure, we didn't really see any where we were but if I see anything like that I run! I wasn't stung by any.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE CARRIER OIL, OR IS IT JUST IN WATER?
• The ingredients are: Active ingredient: Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus*..........30% Other ingredients:..............................................70% *Approx. 65% p-menthane-3,8-diol I find its moderately effective for about 4 hours, while 99% DEET is 99+% effective for up to 8 hours.
• smell ok and kept mosquitoes away
• Active ingredient is Lemon Eucalyptus oil 30%, other ingredients 70%. It says combustible, I think it's water-based but contains some alcohol. Does not feel oily. Also can only apply 2X per day, wash when indoors, keep out of eyes. May be "natural" but not non-toxic or "safe."
• I
• does not seem to be oily at all. I think it could be a mixture of a very light oil and mostly water.
• Just water.
• This product is 30% Lemon and Eucalyptus oils, but Repel has not disclosed what the other 70% is made up of. They refer to it as "Other Ingredients."

QUESTION: DOES THIS PRODUCT HAVE A SHELF LIFE?
• Look like it has a shelf life.
• Marissa, I am not sure. You should check with the manufacturer concerning this.
• I looked on the bottle. It doesn't say anything about a shelf life or expiration date. It does work very well and has a strong smell.

QUESTION: HOW MANY OF THESE DO I NEED FOR A FAMILY OF 6 CAMPING FOR 1 WEEK?
• Depends on where you are going. Peru/rain forest type thing at minimum 2. Florida swamp - tops 2. Somewhere where you are only going to have mosquitoes come out evening and night 1 should be sufficient. But it does not seem to have an expiration date that I can find so if you have mosquitoes at home and use at other functions such as soccer games or picnics I would really get 2. I feel funny giving an answer of one not knowing the way you apply (ex. spray liberally all over until soaked or spray and rub on with hands - this would use far less and be less waste.) For the good price I really would get at least 2.
• 3 sprays are enough
• Depends on how moquito infested the area is where you are camping. I would guess that 2 bottles would be enough for normal conditions. Tom
• I would bring two, just to be safe. But I think that should be plenty!
• I wouldn't use it it doesn't work

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE IT ON CHILDREN
• not sure but I wouldn't waist any more money on it, it sticks but didn't repel the bugs away from me. better off with the avon band replent. smells good and works.
• I use it on my children and used it while pregnant. I believe it only uses essential oils.
#Repel_Lemon_Review

QUESTION: CAN I USE IT ON SMALL CHILDREN
• i far as i know yes. i have used it on my grand children. as with any "medicine" use with commom sence and care. keep away from eyes, mouth , open cuts etc. if you have a child with a siezure disorder check with your doctor first. i have read where some believe that eucalyptus is not good for people with seizures...child or adult. when using near the face i always spray on my hands and then wipe their faces to be sure not get any in their eyes etc. hope this helps.
• I use it with my five year old son. It is made of natural ingredients and I think is safe in small children.
• Some websites say DO NOT USE Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus on kids under 3 years old.
• I can't see why not. Eucalyptus is a natural plant-based product. In fact, I'd use a product like this on small children before I would even consider one of those other chemical-based products.

QUESTION: CAN I APPLY TO MY SKIN?
• Yes I do and it really seems to work well.
• Yes it is to be sprayed on skin to repel mosquitoes and other insects. We used it in Belize and it was better than the other store bought brands
• Yes, you can.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE?
• Whenever I have used any mosquito repellent with DEET,....at first, it works very well....no mosquitoes will land on me or bite, ....but after a few hours , they are back again. When I use Repel....I have not experienced this "fading" effect, even after working in my garden and sweating heavily for 4 or 5 hours later! I am guessing it will have a similar shelf life as the typical DEET products...at least several years. I have on'y been using it for one summer but I notice no difference in the product's smell or viscosity. It DOES have a strong lemon-eucalyptus odor,...which I love,....and this fragrance does not disappear after many hours of use. I believe it is this strong fragrance that keeps the insects away.
• Not sure about the shelf life but it works real well. There is a website at www.repel.com to answer any questions.
• 2 To 3 Years

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK TO REPEL TICKS? WE LIVE IN THE LYME-DISEASE-VIA-DEER-TICK CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY...
• According to the description and ConsumerReports.org
• It does help, but needs frequent reapplication. I spray my boots & lower pants legs & haven't found ticks on my clothing since using it.
• Unfortunately, I cannot address its effectiveness on ticks. But given how it performs with flys & mosquitoes I feel it would deter ticks as well. It repels all bugs in the Southwest.
• I purchased it to go to Costa Rica and ride a boat in the deep forest and it worked great. I can't answer anything about ticks, bet it seems like any bug would be repelled.
• I can tell you that it does help repel mosquitoes. We get a lot of ticks here in SE TN as well. I'm not sure yet if this product has a measurable impact on ticks. I would tend to guess not. They are not easily deterred.

• I haven't noticed any sticky residue feeling!
• It doesn't feel sticky to me.
• I don't think so. The ODOR is a bit intense; however, that fades in a couple of minutes. I live in Central Florida. This product does a great job of keeping the mosquitos off me!
• dani......i spray it on my arms and around my neck. .it is not sticky on me . also on my jeans and my ball cap. it works for me.
• No, not a sticky feeling really. I was at a little musical event at a restaurant outside and the performer could smell it from 30 feet away.
