QUESTION: IS 100% DEET DANGEROUS?
• I would say it is a risk vs reward situation that you need to take into account. No it should not be put onto skin and you should only be using this if you are going to be in an extreme environment with insects exposing you to a multitude of vector borne diseases and illnesses such as west Nile, malaria, Lyme disease, etc. I don't think any foreign chemical is "good" for you so I would be cautious and use only if you feel the reward exceeds the risk. Also, minimize your exposure by not applying to direct skin, removing and washing clothing as soon as you are able.
• Everything is dangerous , wait a few years , what you think will harm you today will be okay for future use ...
• Hi! As far as I can recall... We have used this Deet stuff and it has not been dangerous to us or better said it hasn't made us sick or anything. We have had tremendous good luck with it, and would buy it again!! :-) But, I would suggest that a person should at least shower off when you are done using this Deet stuff on yourself just for safety's sake.. Also, it would be a good idea to wash any clothing that has been associated with Deet so your skin doesn't all of a sudden get irritated after using Deet for too long of periods of time.. All in all though, this product is very good to use!
• According to the EPA, the answer is "No." (see http://www2.epa.gov/insect-repellents/deet ). Of course, all absolute claims should be taken with a grain of salt. And the state of NY has put out what seems to be a bit more reasoned assessment ( https://www.health.ny.gov/publications/2737/ ). That said, I have used (and continue to use) as close to 100% DEET products as I could find for over 40 years (30 years active duty infantry, 9 years in a wildlife agency, years of backpacking/hiking) and have developed no external or internal health issues. I use this because 1) many areas I operated in (Alaska, Thailand, Honduras, southern United States, Haiti, Panama, etc.) were almost literally unlivable if you couldn't ward off the insects and 2) because even more areas include insect-borne disease (Malaria, Dengue, West Nile, etc.). West Nile Virus activity exists in all but 6 of the lower 48 states and Dengue Fever (or its vector mosquito) is confirmed in Florida, Texa s, Arizona, California and Hawaii. Lyme Disease and Encephalitis are also insect-borne diseases. As global warming evolves, other previously tropical insect-borne diseases will probably show up in the US. This is a cost-benefit analysis only you can do for you and your family. My answer rather arrogantly assumes you are talking about using this in the United States. If you are living/operating in more tropical areas outside the US, then it is really a matter of what type of personal insect control you are going to use, not whether to do so. Hope this at least helps reduce the ambiguity.
• It is toxic, with LD50 oral (rat) of about 1.95 g/kg and LD50 dermal (rat) of 5 g/kg. It is category 4 and 5 respectively, with 1 being most and 5 being least toxic. You should refer to MSDS for further details, I got these data from Sigma Aldrich's website.

QUESTION: IS THIS OKAY TO USE IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN?
• I'm not sure. My skin would be average. I use this for adventure races where I know I will be viciously attacked by mosquitoes and this works fantastic. If I am sweating a lot I have to reapply more than suggested but I can't stand being bit.
• This works ok on my wife's sensitive skin
• i would say no if have sensitive. but you can dilute with sun screen or hand lotion all is up to you great value
• No way! You can test spraying on any plastic surface. you can check out what happen after!

QUESTION: DENGUE FEVER HAS COME TO THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII, EVERYONE IS BUYING OUT ALL OF THE MOSQUITOE REPELLENTS IN ALL OF THE STORES HERE. IS THIS ANY GOOD?
• Yes, works great.
• not unless you liked walking around as a greased monkey. It was gross. I also reviewed a natural oil essence product that thank god I bought for Thailand at the same time and I used it for the whole trip and found it much better. A slight smell which goes away but no greasy effect.
• This product has worked very well for me. The higher the deet content the better it repels. I was using this while trail running through the forest during the hot humid days of summer. I recommend it highly. I don't know if certain types of mosquitos carry any resistance to this product. So you might email the manufacturer to double check on that. But liked I said it worked for well for me.
• Friend recommended this repellents to me, but it's not working for me; at least not the bottle I received.
• It's the best you can get! 98% pure DEET.
• This is maximum strength -- for places like the Amazon jungle or if you're on safari in Africa -- so it's 98.11 DEET. That means [1] avoid all contact with eyes & mouth; [2] it can irritate other sensitive skin, like face & hands (I put it on with rubber gloves); [3] it has a strong smell that will get onto clothing & car seat & towels & the smell will linger. You'll probably want a lotion or spray with a lower concentration of DEET -- like 40 % -- for everyday use in a developed area like the big island, unless you are going out hiking for the day.
• Im not familiar with the types of mosquito that you have on the islands but I can say that I used this in two states during record rainfall periods and extreme dampness afterwards and I didn't have any issues with the mosquitoes around here... This is by far the best product I have used..
• I used it on a trip to Belize and I still got bitten. My wife did not get bitten and she used it. In general, I usually get bitten and she does not (no matter what we use). So you should probably try it for yourself. Results may vary. Hope that helps.
• It takes care of the mosquitos, brown dog ticks and deer ticks in west centralFL, so I would think it would work fine. But it's not water proof.

QUESTION: HI I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY BOTTLES SHOULD I BUY FOR ME AND MY FIANCE FOR A 8 DAY TRIP TO THE NORTH OF BRAZIL. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE ZIKA
• It depends on how much skin is exposed, how heavily you apply and how often you reapply. One bottle is most likely enough, but because you're traveling to a more highly infested area, we recommend bringing two just in case.
• If you do buy this product then 1 or 2 bottles max will be enough for 8 days for 2 pp
• I'd say no more than three should be sufficient for an eight day trip.

QUESTION: MY BACK DOOR IS FULL OF MOSQUITOS! THANKS TO THE LIGHT THAT I NEED THERE, WELL MY QUESTION IS; CAN I SPRAY THIS ON OR AROUND THE LIGHT AND DOOR AREA?
• No, spray on yourself. I use it to repel noseems in Florida.
• I am a Master Gardener and get a lot of questions about insects and their control. I would imagine that this product would work to keep mosquitoes away from door area. That being said it is an expensive option and may not go beyond a certain area - probably inches as they usually have to land on it to be repelled. If you are not against using insecticides there are several mosquito specific foggers on the market. Since your mosquitoes are around at night when fewer pollinator butterflies, bees and moths may be around you may want to try those products. We use them in Michigan in the summer to allow us to enter our cabin without letting in a bunch of sneaky mosquitoes that follow us in. Hope this helps. You may also want to contact your County or State Extension office, many of them have pest hotlines and they may be able to give you some ideas I have completely missed.
• I just read the label on the bottle. It could says it could damage the finish on some surfaces like wood, plastics, painted and varnished surfaces. . The product is somewhat greasy until it dries. If your not concerned about the finishes of your light and door area than I say go for it. We sprayed it in the tent we were in and we never had problems with mosquitos though our fellow travelers did. Hope this helps.
• You can, but with caution. The repellent is highly corrosive to painted surfaces. It almost acts as a paint stripper. I made the mistake of leaving it on the top of an electric fireplace and it leaked. It had softened the paint right down to the compressed fiber board beneath.
• no, it would just keep them away from landing on your light bulb. It keeps them from landing on surfaces (like skin). Plus, you'd have to spray every day, and it is very expensive for that.
• I don't see why you couldn't. I would check out the products use label on the bottle.
• I think this one should be directed to the manufacturer of the product not me. Good luck

QUESTION: I AM TRAVELING TO MADAGASCAR FOR 10 WEEKS, DO YOU THINK 2 BOTTLES ARE ENOUGH OR SHOULD I ORDER MORE? THANK YOU
• It depends how often you will be bathing, or having to reapply because of sweating. I would think yes, two bottles should be enough for 10 weeks. One bottle last my son ten weeks through the YMCA summer camp program, but he was running low at the end of the season.
• If it were me - 4!
• I would imagine it should be sufficient, unless you're planning to stay in the woods most of the time.

QUESTION: HOW LONG WILL THIS LAST FOR ONE ADULT? I AM GOING TO PERU FOR 14 DAYS. 7 IN MACCHU PICHU AND 7 IN THE RAINFOREST. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE ZIKA VIRUS.
• i went to Haiti in Jan. 2015 and again in Jan. 2016 both times for 8 days and I didn't even finish one bottle. No problems.
• I was in the caribbean and worried about Zika. I came home with most of my bottle however, I was not in the rainforest and was only on land 3 days. I can tell you that it leaked on the plane. Luckily I had it in a ziplock bag. I took two bottles with me. I used it on me and my husband.
• Depends on how much you use, where you apply it, and how much you sweat... plus how much mosquitos love you. I am rather seriously delicious to mosquitos so I have to use very concentrated DEET to chase them. If I wear long slacks, long sleeves, head gear, and put this from hat to shoes plus doing the shoes and hat, and extra at the collar and cuffs, this will last for about 12 hours. I also do my sleeping bag while camping, especially along the top edge, and both sides and top edge of my pillowcase. Light refreshing every day of 'bug outfit' and bedding.
• I still had more than 1/2 of the bottle left after a week using on bedding and body.
• In my experience 4oz will be all you need. But I've also have found that others will latch on and ask for a application here and there when it becomes known you are among those NOT being bitten, therefore you either hide, lie, or share. I suggest you bring another couple and sell them as your stash. That will guarantee you won't run out and not feel guilty for not spraying everyone who asks.

QUESTION: I HAD A BOTTLE OF OFF, AND THE "SPRAY" CAME OUT IN A SHARP STREAM WHICH DIDN'T REALLY WORK FOR ANYTHING AT ALL. WILL THIS SPRAY IN A MIST OF SORTS?
• It comes out with a wide spray and if you aren't close to where you want the spray it will just go into the air. Also, the spray nozzel will twist and you can end up with the spray going in a wrong direction. You need to be careful to not spray it into your eyes etc. I'm very happy with the product.
• More of a myst than a stream, for sure
#Repel_100_Review

QUESTION: DOES THIS STAIN CLOTHES? ALSO HOW AFFECTIVE IS THIS?
• No, it does not stain clothes, but 2 things: [1] it is oily, so it will collect dust & dirt & sweat on the skin & transfer it to clothing collars & cuffs -- but it ALL washes out; [2] until you launder your clothing, this repellant has a distinctive AROMA that will permeate your garments. But these are small prices to pay for the effectiveness of this product -- it is VERY potent & EXTREMELY effective -- but best-suited for VERY high-risk locations where VERY dangerous mosquito-borne diseases like malaria & yellow fever & dengue & zika are real & rampant threats. So if you are just sitting around in your back yard, this product -- with super-strength potency of 98.11% DEET -- is probably over-kill.
• It's quite effective. One weekend I was out mowing grass and didn't use Repel 100. I ended up with 14 massive horsefly bites. Next weekend I used it and had zero bites. I can't speak about staining since I've always been wearing work clothes. Honestly, it works so well I wouldn't care even if it left huge, bright, purple stains.
• I did not notice it staining my clothes. It is very effective. When I apply it to my skin the mosquitoes fly anywhere but on me!
• It can stain. Do not spray this onto lettering or appliques on teeshirts, it will mess those up. I usually wear 100% cotton and I can see where I regularly apply this stuff, so I have a few outfits that are designated 'bug suits' and wear those when I have to spray up.
#Repel_100_Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: CAN THIS DEET BE DILUTED? I HAVE GRANDKIDS WHO GET EATEN ALIVE BY MOSQUITOS BUT THIS SEEM TOO STRONG AND I'VE ALREADY BOUGHT IT.
• Sure. I squirt a handful of body cream and mix in 2 sprays of deet then mix. Old products that worked had 1% deet
• I am unsure. I would suggest buying a weaker repellent. You may find some tips of how to dilute it on google or yahoo. It works well, but is quite strong. I suggest only using it when going outside in warm or hot weather where a lot of bugs are present.
#Repel_100

QUESTION: WILL THIS BOTTLE LAST FOR 2 DAYS FOR ABOUT 15 PEOPLE? IS THERE CONSEQUENCE TO HAVING HIGHER DEET %?
• This stuff doesn't work. Don't wast your money
• I do not believe it will last that long for 15 people;no. Higher deet would be better. I used it in Africa and truly needed more deet. Plus, the sprayers quit working about halfway thru the bottle. Might be a fine product for milder climates without giant mosquitos.
• i think two bottles would be better for 15 people. some may need double doses.
• Don't know on quantity versus people; but us this stuff and get no ticks, chiggers, etc.
• I think the quantity is sufficient; I don't know about any side effects of the high Deet concentration. Be careful with bottle-- I found that it leaked during my travels.
• According to some the readings I researched prior to buying the product is that the higher the deet % is the greater the effect of the product is in repelling insects. In regards to the consequence of using products with higher deet content I don't have an answer for that. It does indicate when spraying on your body to make sure to be careful around facial area. If you spray on your hands and rub on probably will extend product content. It does spray a fine mist. I hope this help some. I have had great success with this product.
#Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: DOES IT STAIN CLOTHES BECAUSE IT'S OILY?
• This may damage clothes - I would not apply to fabrics. This can be used VERY sparingly - a couple of sprays on your arms and legs will repel just about anything. Would not recommend full-body application like usual bug sprays.
• If sprayed directly onto clothes it will stain.
• No. I my experience it washes out easily in the normal laundry process and hence needs to be reapplied next time you wear the garment.
#Repel_100_Review

QUESTION: IS IT IDEAL TO SPRAY IT OVER SKIN OR OVER CLOTHES THAT YOU ARE WEARING FOR THE DAY?
• I sprayed it on my skin - and so did my son... but don't see why you couldn't use it on your clothes... however, they make a product that you spray your clothes with for mosquitoes and it seemed to work quite well....
• You can use it either way. I used directly on the skin. Worked great !
• Yes, you can spray directly to the skin or the clothes It really works excellent
• I use it over my skin and sometimes over my clothes. Works really good.
• Yes, it works when sprayed over skin or clothes, in a very effective way
• You can spray it on your skin, but not directly on your face. You can spray it on your hands and then apply it to your face and/or neck. It works so well on exposed skin that I've not needed to spray in on my clothes and it states not to spray it under your clothes so I don't do that. Be careful not to spray it on or around anything that is plastic. It will bubble it up or eat through it.
• I used it on all exposed area and clothing and I got no ticks or chiggers
• Works best on skin for me. I haven't sprayed my clothes but if you try it make sure it doesn't stain your clothes
#Repel_100_Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: HOW DOES IT SMELL? UNSCENTED OR STRONG SCENT
• This stuff works great. I did not notice any smell-it is a little oily. I used it on my neck and face without any problems or irritation and it sure keeps the bitting flies and mosquitos away. Very concentrated. Hope that helps.
• Unscented
• I don't think so husband never complained. I lost sense of smell in auto accident. But only deet at a high per cent was good enough for Africa safari
#Repel_100

QUESTION: I'M GOING TO THAILAND... HOW DO YOU APPLY THIS? ALL OVER OR PULSE POINTS. WILL THIS ON NECK AND EARS PROTECT MY FACE? DON'T WANT TO PUT ON FACE SKIN
• I purchased this repellent for my husband when he goes into the woods to hunt. He says he either sprays it onto areas or sprays into his hands when applying, not sure if applied on neck if it affects the face area.
• This is VERY high strength but needs to be applied to ALL exposed areas. It's not like perfume that you can just dab here & there to get the full effect. For example, once when I was on safari in Botswana, even though I had methodically covered my entire head with the repellent, the mosquitoes were so aggressive that they tried to bite my LIPS -- where in fact I hadn't applied any repellent. So the bugs WILL figure out exactly where it's safe for them to land on you! Meanwhile, this repellent CAN irritate skin in less-meaty areas like the ears & neck & face. The repellent comes in a spray bottle, but I usually spray it onto my hands then smear it where I want it. And I use gloves on my hands because the repellent has a distinct texture & aroma that I don't want to transfer to everything I come into contact with.
#Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK ON NO SEEUMS
• Sorry but I'm not sure. You better spray yourself with which ever repellent you choose , I prefer the OFF dry forest but you have to spray every few hours. Good luck
• Yes
• Nothing I've tried works 100% against bugs but the higher % of deet the product has the better it works.Remember it goes on your clothes and NOT your skin. I also use permethrin and load up my boots and jeans to keep the ticks away.
#Repel_100_Review

QUESTION: IS THIS AN AEROSOL OR JUST A SPRAY? NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS ALLOWED IN THE BAGS FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL PLEASE?
• This is a spray. It is not a pressurized container. The product works very well. It takes very little bug juice to give you protection. I spray a little bit in the palm of my hand, then rub my hands together to give them a coating of the repellent. I then rub the areas I want to protect with my repellent coated hands. I may do this a couple of times a day based on how much I am sweating. Make sure you don't get it in your eyes or nose. This does irritate those areas.
• It is a spray that we took on an international flight. To big for your carry on, but can be packed. Recommend that you put in plastic bag. To apply you should spray onto your body then spread with a wash cloth or towel. Do not get it on the palms of your hands. If you touch something with it on your palms it will mar the surface.
• It's just a spray. There should be no issue for international travel, as I just traveled internationally without issue. Best to put in checked baggage though. This stuff is strong, but it works. Do not get it in your mouth or eyes! Good luck.
#Repel_100_Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: DOES IT WORK AGAINST ZIKA/DENGUE MOSQUITO?
• It really should, living in Minnesota where the mosquito is the MN STATE bird I have found 100% deet to be by far the best repellant, and we have hundreds of species of mosquitos. Might help to double up and spray your clothes with a permethrin product but you don't want to use permethrin straight on your skin.
• Should work against any Mosquito and pretty much any other type of insect.
#Repel_100

QUESTION: WHEN APPLIED IS IT WATER RESISTANT,MEANING IT DOESN'T WASH OFF EASILY IN THE RAIN?
• It is not water resistant, however, in light rain, it does hold up. It will not hold up after swimming, or immersion.
• It has been a while since I used this product. But I purchased it for an overseas missions trip and it worked fine. No, water alone doesn't wash it off easily. I guess it would remind you of water on oil. Hope this helps.
• it does not seem to be waterproof, although it does repel insects and works very well even in jogging and outdoors hiking. I do hope this answers your question, and thank you for your business. have a wonderful day, Jazzy's Express
• Recently returned from Guatemala. Lots of mosquitoes hovering all around. Normally I would be a free meal ticket. Works pretty good, did not need any transfusions. I spent 1month there where it rained regularly. Did not need to rereapply to maintain effectiveness. Showering did remove to where it needed to be Reapplied. Hope this helps.
#Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: CAN I WEAR SUNSCREEN WITH THIS?
• Yes, but sunscreen is applied first. Then use the Repel.
• Yes, Apply the sunscreen first, and then apply Repel 100 insect repellent.
• They say yes
• Yes but the sunscreen should be applied first. Also, sunscreen generally needs to be reapplied more often than the insect repellent which lasts longer. It is OK to do this.
#Repel_100_Review

QUESTION: IS THIS SAFE TO USE ON A DAILY BASIS?
• I did use it on a daily basis while in South Africa, in the evenings and when in the Bush on the exposed skin...ears/neck/ankles. I didn't get one bite during the two week holiday and many in our group were bitten at some point during the two weeks.
• I think this one is too strong for prolonged use...use this one Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Insect Repellent, 4-Ounce Pump Spray
• I have used it for several days in a row when I have been on canoe trips in Minnesota and Canada. I cannot say it is safe though.
• I used it every day while on vacation. Didn't have any issues like skin irritation etc.
• We took this to Costa Rica last week and wore it through both the Rain Forest up near the Arenal Volcano and the Tropical Forest in Manuel Antonio and the Mangrove Forest near Quepos. NO BUG BITES AT ALL during our entire trip. We were quite delighted.
#Repel_100_Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: HOW CAN I BRING THIS PRODUCT INTO HAITI?
• This is a 4 oz bottle (118 ml) so it's too much liquid to be allowed in your carry-on luggage. So pack it in your checked luggage -- but wrap it well in a towel then seal it in a plastic bag so it doesn't leak.
• I suppose u could put it inside a ziplock bag as to prevent possible leakage and then packed into your bags
#Repel_100

QUESTION: MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE BOTTLE LEAKING. IS THIS STILL A PROBLEM, OR HAS IT BEEN RESOLVED? THANK YOU
• I never had my bottle leak. And it was thrown around in a suitcase on the plane
• I took this to the Bahamas with me fishing, stuff works great I have not had any problem with the bottle leaking
• None of the 6 bottles ( used or unused ) I bought leaked.
• Well, since I only still have the original bottle and amazon didn't offer to replace it, I would say I don't know.
• I don't know if the problem was resolved. Fortunately I kept the bottle in a plastic bag so it didn't leak all over my clothes. However, I tossed it to prevent future problems.
• Have had experience with only the 1oz bottle---no leakage at all; and the best thing i like about the 1oz 98% DEET is that the lid is handed: the single user points the nozzle in the preferred direction, so one always knows where the spray goes (not in the eyes), even in total darkness. Pauline

QUESTION: IT SAYS IT WORKS FOR CHIGGERS. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA IF THIS IS TRUE?
• Yes - out of everything we've tried it's the best for chiggers, no-see-ums and mosquitoes. Be careful using it on children.
• The wonderful thing about chiggers, is chiggers are wonderful things. Cause their middles are made outta' rubber, and their tails are made outta' springs, WOO HOO!

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE BEST PRODUCT FOR BED BAGS?
• So I have done some research on this, some houses/apartments I have worked in had them & I am deathly afraid of getting them. Long story short, there are some products which will repel them for a short period of time, but they find different ways in. The only real way to get rid of them based on what I've heard, is through professional spraying -at least 2 different times, by professionals! Also, have to be very careful about all your stuff, cloths, pillows, etc so they don't come back. good luck, look elsewhere than Amazon for this I'd say.
• put this on your skin, but the best insect killer is is Zoecon Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray. It is supposedly for "professional use only". it has an ingredient other home insecticides don't have (compare labels), and it's large so it lasts forever (a year in my case). I've bought it twice. That stuff is LETHAL to insects.

QUESTION: DOES THIS PRODUCT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?
• does not list one on the bottle to make sure you can call 1-800-8801181
• Couldn't find any expiration date on the bottle or label. I guess there is no expiration date. It's a small bottle. I think it's only enough for one summer so who cares how many years it will last?
• 10 yearsI

QUESTION: SHOULD I USE ANOTHER PRODUCT WITH THIS TO GO TO THE NORTH OF BRAZIL?IM CONCERNED ABOUT THE ZIKA VIRUS THAT IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN THE SOUTH AMERICA
• I would just make sure to have plenty of this. I find if I put enough on mosquitoes don't land on me, just don't leave an area unsprayed. I don't know what else you could use anyway that wouldn't just dilute it and permethrin is toxic.
• You would have to ask them but I can tell you it worked great I'm Costa Rica
• On a different trip I used OFF Deep Woods and it was very helpful. I would contact a doctor or a travel clinique to ask about the Zika virus specifically. Good luck
• I wouldn't think that you would need anything extra for insect protection. I've been using products with DEET for years with complete satisfaction. The higher the DEET concentration, the better and longer protection. It does have an odor that you will have to get used to.
#Insect_Repellent_4

QUESTION: DOES THIS PRODUCT "REALLY" WORKS? BECAUSE I CAN BE WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE AND THEY'LL ONLY BITE ME.
• So far, yes it dies. My husband and I are fishermans and when we are fishing there is a lot of nats. Noseums and mosquitos and this helps a lot. Maybe a 95% of the time
• Yes this product really does work!

QUESTION: IS ONE BOTTLE ENOUGHT FOR A 16 DAY BIKE TRIP TO VIETNAM?
• Catherine, We only used the Repel 100 in the afternoon, evening in St John. There were 2 of us using the spray for 10 day trip. Vietnam will be a tropical heat with humidity. I would recommend 2-3 bottles. The bottles are small but they go a long way. Good luck on your bike trip! I heard its beautiful there. Todd
• I would bring 2 . I as a back up. The 4 oz should be enough for a 16 day trip in the US, but the jungles of Vietnam I m not so sure. It is an excellent product.
• I think one bottle is enough because it is very strong so u only have to use a little
• Yes, it's very strong so don't lather it on. If you use a sparing application of it, it will be on your skin and also permeate your blood stream rendering you stinky and not very good for a taste to the mosquitos.
• No

QUESTION: GOING ON VACATION SHOULD I APPLY SUNSCREEN FIRST THEN THE BUG SPRAY OR BUG SPRAY FIRST THEN SUNSCREEN
• We had better results with applying sunscreen first and then applying the bug spray.
• What I did was apply sunscreen first, dried, then bug spray.
• The other people here are right. Sunscreen first then bugspray

QUESTION: WOULD I BE ABLE TO SPRAY THIS ON MY CLOTHES INSTEAD OF MY SKIN AND STILL BE RELATIVELY PROTECTED AGAINST MOSQUITOES? I READ ABOUT DEET NEUROTOXICITY.
• I think if your clothes cover your skin you won't need the spray?
• I really only used it on my skin! So I am not for sure! I think you'd be able to
• Look into Catnip Insect Spray. It's all natural, and works better than DEET.
• we have used it that way also.. but i've found it most effective to put on skin then shower when i come indoors
• If you want to spray your gear or clothing you should use Repel Permethrin Clothing & Gear Insect Repellent Aerosol. You shouldn't use deet for gear or clothing.
• Yes. the "off!" brand says that sprayed on clothes is the preferred way, but you have to spray it on hands and rub it on your face anyway.

QUESTION: IS MY SPRAY STILL GOOD IF I BOUGHT IT A YEAR AG?
• I really don't know, but if it was kept in a cool, dry place, I would think it should still be ok. Only one way you'll know is to try it and see if it works.
