QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK WITH THE CAMPINGAZ FUEL CANISTERS?
• It will work with powergas you can find it at Walmart in the camping section definitely worth it.
• Hi frank, sorry I am not sure if it will or not I have never heard of that canister before. I use primus gas canisters they sell they on Amazon as well or your local Walmart, sorry I could not be of more help
• Just looked up those canisters, and they seem to offer a few different varieties, so I'm assuming you mean these type: http://www.campingaz.com/uk/p-22995-cv-270-plus.aspx I haven't used them myself, but I've used 3 other brands of isobutane/propane mix that have canisters that look nearly identical. I'd be very surprised if their canisters had different threading than any of the others.
• Camping Gaz is only designed for the newer model Bluet stoves (de la France) and has a slide on and screw down fitting. It is nearly impossible to find Camping Gaz cartridges in U.S. outlets. The only stove which is compatible with the slip-on and screw down feature is the MSR Firefly stove which takes the Gaz as well as the very commonly provided screw-on fittings. the Etekcity is designed for the screw-on (thread on) cartridges like Primus, Optimus, MSR, Snow Peak, Giga-Power, and a host of others. Fuel mixtures are not all alike, but the Optimus/Primus and MSR have the longest burning time because of special, hotter, fuel configurations. The MSR Firefly is a very good stove, about $40, has a piezo lighting device (careful with the very sharp tip which will make a sharp knife cut in a 'wayward' finger...I sanded off the sharp edge to avoid being cut whilst folding up the pot supports), but the burner plate provides a much wider and more controllable flame-spread for cooking. Most of the hiking stoves provide a 'hot spot' which will burn sensitive food cooking, often burning the food in the center of the pot unless it is monitored constantly. The Firefly is more cooking-friendly. I recommend that you purchase that stove if you have Camping Gaz cartridges to spare. I hope this helps.
• It has to have the threads on the outside of the lip where it attaches. This one screws on but it works great
• I'm not sure. It fits Coleman and MSR propane/butane mix canisters. That's the only 2 I've tried it on. As long as you use that mix of canister type, then it should work fine.
• Only if you are able to find/get an adapter. Campingaz is a clip on style canister and the stove requires a screw on gas canister. Hope this helps.
• I don't know what kind of canisters you are asking about. but it will screw onto an MSR fuel can SKU# 0 040818 069271. I guess if you find any size propane/butane fuel can with the same male fitting the stove should work. About 3/8"D.

QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK WITH COLEMAN PROPANE FUEL (16.4 OZ)?
• I believe it's not recommended to use the 16.4 Oz because the resulting center of gravity is high but I beleive it does fit on the Coleman Propane Fuel (16.4 oz)
• I think it does not and the box specifically tells to use mix fuel. I used it with a mix fuel tank and did not find any issues.
• No. This uses a butane, propane mix that you can buy at most stores with a camping section. The valve is didn't but there might be an adapter. Tho I'm not sure why you'd want to carry so much fuel and such a small stove.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: I CAN'T CONNECT TO PRIMUS FUEL CAN W/OUT FUEL SPRAYING OUT AT BASE - WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? STOVE APPEARS TO BE THREADING PROPERLY.
• Mine would let off a quick spray before I tightened it all the way. I would make sure it's fully connected, and if you're still getting a spray of fuel, try another canister. If it happens then too you might have a bad connection, maybe try to return the stove for a replacement?
• I assume you are using a Primus propane bottle? Not sure what you meant by fuel can. If so, it should not spray out at all and would suggest sending it back for a new one. I have two and both have been excellent stoves with now problems (and no spraying).
• you can't really do anything wrong since it just takes screwing in. its either the canister is bad or the store itself I would suggest getting another canister and see if it's doing the same thing
• I am guessing this is a defect as not all users report this issue. I am one of the ones that did experience this problem though. I took my rotary tool with a grinding bit and wore down the pin that goes into the fuel canister. After lowering the pin slightly I no longer get any fuel spray.
• I had the same issue. There is a problem with the pin pressing on the fuel valve before the seal is made. I wasn't going to grind anything down so I sent it back.
• I have had the same problem and I found out it happens the most when the fuel canister if full. Make sure to hole the canister so the threads are up as if the canister is setting on the ground when you thread it on. thread on slowly until you feel it getting tight then quickly turn it on to avoid excess spay. You will notice the difference that very little if any comes out.
• Were you trying to connect the stove with the canister upside down or tipped to the side? The canister must be completely vertical(threaded connector up). When I attached/detached my stove with the canister, a very small amount of gas came out but stopped very quickly.
• It shouldn't be too much, but yes, there is a moment when a tiny bit of gas may spray out when the stove pierces the valve on the fuel tank. For me, it's not more than a fraction of a second...maybe try screwing it in faster?

QUESTION: IS THE FLAME ADJUSTABLE?
• Yes it is. It's a very adjustable steady flame. This burner is very nice. The ignitor works great.
• Yes, looking at the picture it is that wire loop near the bottom of the unit. It is spring loaded and folds in for storage in its case
• Yes. The flame is adjustable.
• Yes. The little rectangular wire you can see in the picture is a knob to adjust. It bends sort of easily but works none the less.
• Yes. The little sprocket sticking out on the right side connects to the dial that allows you to adjust the flame (and turn it off).

QUESTION: WILL THE STANLEY ADVENTURE 24 OZ COOKSET FIT ON TOP OF THIS STOVE? I HAVE THE MSR MICRO ROCKET AND THE SUPPORT LEGS EXTEND TOO FAR. THANKS
• I exclusively cook with the Stanley Adventure Camp Set, and was able to cook with this stove with the camp fuel canister directly on the ground. Fit on top perfectly. Excellent value.
• The supports open to support anything that has a diameter at its bottom of more than 2.5" and the supports extend from that diameter to 3.75". So, anything greater than 2.5" should be fine. However, I would say that the stove is obviously supported by the width of the fuel can which in turn needs to be on a solid and fairly level surface or the whole combination will be somewhat "tippy." I use it with a stainless cup to boil typically 10 to 12 oz. of water and for that purpose it works just fine on the ground. I suspect, though, that if you actually FILLED that cookset cup with water it might be rather unstable. The cup I use is 3.5" tall and 3.5" in diameter which works very well.
• Yes, though as others point out you should be sure to have the fuel cannister on a flat level surface.
• Hello Pat...I am not sure how much the bottom radius measures across but these support legs have an "L" shape swivel that when flipped inward it measures 2 and 3/4 inches across (end to end). When the "L" shape swivel opens outward it extends 3 1/2 inches across (end to end)...I hope this helps you.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH?
• ~ 4 ounces in it's plastic case. Of course you will be packing at least one can of fuel as well.
• Hello Wordsmyth. The Etekcity portable outdoor stove weighs 4 ounces in its' case. This does not include the weight of the fuel or a pot. These are sold separately. I took this stove on a 5 day kayaking trip last summer. It worked great. This stove is also a great value.
• Couple of oz
• Exact weight? who knows.. its too light to matter. carrying case is approximately the size of 2 packs of tic-tacs but probably lighter.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: I AM NEW TO THIS AND NEED CLARIFICATION ON THE TYPE OF FUEL THIS STOVE USES... DOES IT USE BUTANE, PROPRANE, PRIMUS, OR WHAT? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
• It uses a 4 season mix of isobutane, propane, and butane by Primus which I purchase at Walmart and I have also used the isobutane/propane mix from Gander Mountain. You can't use a propane tank as it wont hook up to it.
• Isopro by MSR is an 80/20 mix of isobutane and propane. Usually in a small pressurized canister that the stove screws on to. Very good performance in cold weather.
• It uses a butane, propane mix that burns very hot. It comes in small canisters made by MSR, COLEMAN, JETBOIL, or PRIMUS. Great stove boils 1qt of water in about 3 .5 min at Wisconsin elevations. I used Jetboil, it was cheaper whenbpught locally.
• This guy (and others like it) use a fuel called IsoPro Fuel. You can get it at just about any sporting store (REI, Dicks, Bass Pro, etc) very cheap. The smaller canisters (~$4.50) usually last me a weekend trip and the larger sizes (~$6.50) of fuel can last up to a week depending on how much you're heating things up.
• I was told it uses 'butane mixed fuel' but I'm using isobutane mixed fuel and it works fine. I use the jetboil containers and it works great!
• Kovea LPG Adaptor, Small, Silver
• jetboil
• How much do the fuel cannisters weigh
#Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: ARE THE FUEL CANNISTERS DIFFICULT TO FIND?
• no, for example buy like the one from here: KOVEA Adventure Gas Lantern or any screw-type gas cartridge. You can find them in Wall-Mart in "camping" department or in most sport/outdoor stores.
• Not at all. Most major chains carry them and I've even seen them at gas stations.
• Any outdoor recreation store or department (REI, Walmart, etc.) sells them
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Review

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE BEST BRAND ISOBUTANE TO BUY THAT WILL FIT, WITHOUT LEAKS?
• I've tried 3 different brands. Two from REI, and one from Walmart, they all are the same to me. It's only leaked when unscrewing it from the canister when I didn't close or twist the valve all the way to the left, it makes a hissing sound which goes away when it's closed all the way. I choose the canister based on the length of trip/size needed as different brands come in different sizes.
• I've only bought the Coleman brand fuel for this stove. I have had no problems or leaks so far. The stove seems to screw onto the fuel canister easily.
• I buy primus and no leaks.just get the can good and tight.
• Tried the Jetboil and MSR canisters the stove failed equally on both. Was going to send it back till I found out it cost more to send back than what I paid for it. Definitely do not recommend this stove at all!
• I have used the primus power gas that I buy at Walmart for approximately 5 dollars. I've had zero issues with any leak even when attaching the stove to canister. Totally satisfied and that canister lasts for a long time
• I use Wal-Mart brand fuel, worked just as good as the iso, jetboil fuel. every once in awhile I would get a leak when attaching the burner to the can, but only till it would get tight.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: WILL IT WORK WITH THE 15.52 OUNCE COLEMAN PROPANE/BUTANE MIX CANISTERS?.
• Hey Mike, That I don't know. I'm assuming that it was designed to fit the standard canisters that you commonly see in stores. Sorry I couldn't be more specific. I do think it's a pretty cool device. Worth it ..
• Is you are referring to the 250g 13.4 coleman with the small thread then yes
• Yes it worked with the Coleman canisters I got from walmart and also Sterno. But it was 7 oz.fitting should be the same for larger can.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: GOING CAMPING/ HOW IS THIS IN WINDY CONDITIONS?
• Pretty good in my opinion. If it's to bad you can always use some foil as a wind break also
• it's ok in light winds, but your need a wind break for higher wind condition.
• Works great. Protip: setup this stove when you recieve it and measure the distance from the top of pot holder to the bottom of your fuel canister. Cut some aluminium foil out to match this height (id suggest triple folding it for rigidity in windy conditions) as well as enough to wrap halfway around the kit... Bam! Homemade wind screen.
• I have used it in the wind. It works well. I've never had it "blow out." But you'll need some sort of wind block to retain heat to cook.
• Depending on the temp and type of fuel you're gonna use...It should perform flawlessly...I used mine in 15 degree temp with moderate windy conditions...I also used snow peak fuel.....So it should perform well....Also you might want to use a wind shield...
• FYI, using a windscreen around a butane mix canister can direct heat down to the canister, causing it to overheat and explode. That's a bad thing. A partial windscreen, that blocks the wind, but does not fully surround the stove/canister is safer, but the canister temp should still be monitored in this case.
#Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: CAN THIS STOVE USE MRS FUEL?
• I believe any fuel that is a mixed gas butane will operate it. There are several brands on the market, just check the label on canister.
• It is propane/ gas mixture only - using canisters. I have not thought of using any adapters for liquid MSR fuel nor would I recommend it.
• Will fit all standard fuel canisters I've used with no problem. I have NOT specifically used MSR with it, but the fuel cans have a standardized fittings so you should be fine.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Review

QUESTION: GREETINGS, FRIEND THIS BURNER CAN BE USED WITH PROPANE BOTTLE MARK COLEMAN?
• You need an adapter to hook up the burner for coleman. I suggest, get a msr pocket rocket and get the adapter to be safe. This etekcity ultralight kinda gave me a bad experience. Search around im sure youll find it. This is the adapter for the coleman propane LPG Adapter/camping Propane Small Tank Input and a Lindal Valve Output LPG Adapter/camping Propane Small Tank Input and a Lindal Valve Output
• I'm assuming you're asking if it can be used with those green coleman propane bottles? It can't. You could get an adapter but when you spend 10 bucks on the stove and 5 bucks on a canister compatible with the stove you wind up saving money. The part that screws on is 7/16 inch diameter but Jetboil or MSR have propane/butane mixes that screw on to this stove which is what the stove directions say to use anyway. So just make sure the propane/butane canister has 7/16 inch threads and you should be fine. Anyways, I definitely recommend this stove. Really easy to use, very small, and haven't had any problems after several camping trips with it.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: DOES THIS HAVE THE SAME THREADS AS MSR CANISTERS
• Yes it is made to fit all the 8 oz Gas Cartridge that are for the small stoves. I do believe it will also fit the 16 oz but I would compare the top of each.
• Yes, and my stove works great.
• The threads should be the same. I buy my canisters from Bass Pro or Walmart (the grey ones). The stove is great. My family has several and we give them as gifts.
• Yes, but I don't recommend the Etekcity, it leaks and is very dangerous.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: IS THIS A GOOD STOVE FOR CAMPING?
• So far, I use a small stainless steel pot from Wal-Mart it comes with two small cups. Great for a small quick meal. I wouldn't use a large pot.
• Yes, it is very good. Portable, light weight and works well.
• It is fantastic for backpack camping but if you are cooking for more than 2 bring a couple. If you're driving, I would suggest the larger type that use bigger cheaper tanks of gas
• These are great little stoves but not for large pans. We, my son and I, use these in our hunting packs with Stanley camping pot to cook noodles. You could put a stainless steel cup on it to heat up water, you could possibly use like the cheap aluminum scout cook kits that come apart and you have a small skillet and small pot. The one I have I used for a whole week cooking up noodles for lunch while hunting. I still had a half can of butane fuel left after that week.
• I use it backpacking. It's great
• An excellent stove for camping assuming you're cooking one-pot meals or similar simple applications. Controls flame well, although is a little difficult to control really low flame at times.
• Absolutely!!! I've used it a lot and am very happy with it
#Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: CAN THIS USE COLEMAN PROPANE TANKS
• No. It uses an isobutane cartridge which is a pre mixed all season gas. Can be found at camping stores, hardware etc.
• Yes. It's compatible with most propane tanks
• Pretty sure you cannot but not 100% positive. I believe it requires an isobutane/propane mix. I used a canister from Primus.
• No, it requires a isobutan/propane mix, they run about 5 bucks at most outdoor stores
• yes as long as the canister is a standard size
• No
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Review

QUESTION: ONCE YOU USE THE FUEL CANS, CAN YOU REMOVE THE STOVE AND USE THE CAN AGAIN? AND ABOUT HOW LONG DO THE CANS LAST?
• Yes you can remove the can and use it again, how long the can lasts depends on how big a fuel can you get, but I used a larger can and it lasted all week with plenty left over.
• I used my stove on a three day trip with just a small can and it lasted the whole.time. I also detached the canister from the stove when hiking. And would reattach when using it. I love the portability of it.
• Cans not reusable. My last can lasted 3 days boiling water for coffee and mountain house meals. Probably prepared anywhere from 2-4 meals daily.
• Yes. The propane cans have self sealing valves so everytime to uncork your stove it seals itself to prevent leaking.
• Yes you absolutely can reuse the fuel. I bought the MSR IsoPro Fuel 8oz (at REI) for an overnighter and it ended up being way too much for two people for dinner and breakfast. We used about half. Not sure why it's $20 on Amazon but I definitely didn't spend more than $8 at REI if I'm recalling correctly. It could be the "all-season" aspect.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE USED WITH THE BLUE CAMPINGGAZ CYLINDERS?
• No, Based off of info pulled from the web I do not believe it will fit the CampingGaz Cylinder it looks like it has a different connection. It will fit the standard isobutane cartridges commonly found in the US under brands including Optimus, Primus, Jetboil, MSR, Coleman, etc.
• Not sure that specific brand, it has screwed on every multi fuel can I've tried. I'm sure there all universal.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: CAN THIS BE CONNECTED TO A COLEMAN PROPANE TANK?
• Not directly. You need to use an adapter for that. Like this: Kovea LPG Adaptor, Small, Silver
• I bought a little propane tank and it did not attach properly to the camping stove. The small gas/butane can I bought worked fine. You just need to look at the connection before you by the specific canister.
• No, has to be the propane/butane mix cans. Wrong connection for the propane cans.
• No it will not it has to be propane butane mix
• I don't think so. Even if it could I'd get something different.
• Hmmmm? The stove cannot be connected directly to a Coleman (or generic brand) propane cylinder, however, I have seen but not yet purchased or used an adapter which allows any of the standard backpacking stoves (which thread onto MSR style cylinders). I wouldn't be afraid to try it, but the fuel jets, orifices and/or control valves might not allow straight propane to burn as well. Give it a try and lemme know how it works! Good Luck!! Scott
#Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE WOULD BE HAZARDOUS IF THIS WAS USED INDOORS? THANKS
• Indoors with ventilation should be fine, but I wouldn't use it for prolonged periods of time without good air flow. These types of stoves are regularly used inside shelters by climbers and backpackers.
• Using a camping stove indoors is never a good idea. There can be a build up of carbon monoxide and cause serious problems. Warning labels are there for a reason.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Review

QUESTION: I JUST PURCHASED THIS AND IF I TURN IT UP TOO HIGH THE FLAME GOES OUT. IS THIS NORMAL?
• Mine hasn't done that, but it's a pretty simple device. Id turn it up slowly so that the jet of gas doesn't blow out the flame. I have used 2 for quite a while and they're still working
• I've seen it happen before. All it means is that gas it being pushed out at a faster rate than the fire is able to burn it. If you have a cooking pot over the top you should be able to crank it higher because it slows down the gas enough to burn. The unit is easily able to boil water quickly though at a lower setting, if that helps you out.
• Likely just feeding the gas faster than it can burn. A different fuel mix, a half-empty canister, or altitude may affect this. Turn it down and enjoy your stove.
• I don't think so. When I turn mine up all the way it just makes a bigger and nosier flame. You might need to return it if you plan on using it that high (which is unlikely).
• I've never turned it all the way up I suppose. I'll try it next time.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: WORK WITH COLEMAN PROPANE?
• No, it works with isobutane canisters, not the green propane bottles.
• No it will not.without an adapter.fuel is available on Amazon or at Walmart for less money.
• NO, it uses a propane butane mix. Any of the "jet boil" fuel types will work. If you are at higher altitude i would recommend the ISO Butane because it burns better. Sold at walmart and sportsman's warehouse.
• Yes, it does
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: WHAT MEALS HAVE YOU EATEN WITH THIS STOVE, WHAT TYPE OF PORTIONS
• I purchased this for my son for Christmas, however I have used one before. And they are great! Heats a little or a lot. I recommend highly.
• I have a hiking cook set that has a small pot and skillet combo. I primarily use it to boil water 16+ ounces in my little pot. I use that's for mountain house meals and usually have enough water left over for a cup of tea or coffee. I've had one for myself for about two years and have recommended it to a few friends since. I've heard it compared to a pocket rocket although only a fraction of the cost. Mine is still going strong and works with most small propane tanks. Hope that helps.
• Mainly Mountain House freeze dried foods. Portions will depend on how much water you boil.
• I only use it to heat water for coffee & personal hygiene. I use MRE's with their built-in heater, spoon, toiletries etc. for camping - less to clean up & carry.
#Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: WHAT WINDSHIELD IS RECOMMENDED?
• Don't know that any are 'recommended'. I use natural windbreaks like stones and haven't had any problems. I do have a homemade windbreak (4 chopsticks sewn into cloth) that I've used with other stoves that I imagine would work well with this.
• it would help if the stove worked , it lasted 2 trips then started leaking gas and the igniter doesn't work too well anymore.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Review

QUESTION: HOW FAST DOES IT BOIL WATER?
• At around 10,000 feet we were boiling water personally for cup o noodles in a matter of 1-2 minutes or so(roughly). This little thing puts out a lot of heat and doesn't use much fuel either.
• I actually never tested it. I returned the product because the pot holders were not sturdy. They were uneven and I was afraid to put a pot of water on it, it would have fallen over. Was disappointed because of so many good reviews, I guess I just got a bad one. From the reviews I read, most people said 3:30-4:30 minutes to boil water.
• I can get water hot enough for cocoa and coffee in literally less than a minute. But, to get it fully boiling for food it's like 3 minutes at the most. It depends on the amount of water you use. I've seen quite a few people complain about the stability of the burner. Mine is a little wobbly but I don't feel like I've ever gotten close to spilling my water.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: DOES THIS WORK WITH PROPANE GAS CYLINDERS
• No, It only works with the small butane blend canisters.
• In the next couple of weeks I will start selling a adaptor for the 1 lb propane cyl.........if you was to need it sooner....you can always contact me
• This item is only compatible with the smaller fuel units...The larger green propane gas cylinders will not work.
• no. wrong fitting.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: IS IT REALLY THAT SMALL, THE WAY IT IS IN THE PICTURES?
• Yes, maybe 3 inches tall, 2 inches wide when folded and in its case.
• I can fold it and put it in my pocket. Even the case too. When it's folded out, it's about 4-5" tall, diameter is probably like 2.5".
• Yes it is! However it is very fuctional.seems to be well made as well.
• The stove is tiny. The biggest part is the fuel supply you attach it too. It boiled 2 cups of water in about 3 1/2 minutes.
• Yes, my 15 year old son uses it for backpacking. He can't carry a large amount in his pack and it works perfect.
• It is a very small backpacking stove (similar to wisperlite). It may not be exactly to scale in the pictures but it is very small and easy to use. I think that the dimensions are mentioned on the description.
• Yes it's small just spews out gas when attaching to fuel canister.
#Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: CON THIS STOVE WORK WITH THE PROPANE TANKS FROM A GRILL
• Kovea LPG Adaptor, Small, Silver
• No it uses Butane/Propane mix canisters. The small bottles that start at about 4 Oz up to about 20 oz.
• http://zenstoves.net/Canister.htm check this.
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Review

QUESTION: WILL IT SCORCH THE BOTTOM OF MY POTS/PANS!?
• I use it with the primus canisters and a stainless steel msr pot. No evidence of tar build up or scorching. The flame is barely visible so I'm thinking that it is a very clean burn.
• I used the cheap wal mart aluminum pan and it didn't discolor too bad. Didn't scorch it.
• It is a clean burn. I haven't had any scorching. That said - it is a focused flame so you will have a hot "spot" during the burn.
• I haven't had any scorching, but I suppose it's possible.
• Given that the heat source is an actual flame, it is very likely it will. However, I once read a great tip (though I don't remember the source): paint the bottoms of your camp cookware with stove paint. I now do this with all of my cookware, and I think it even helps heat more quickly and more evenly distribute the heat (I always use black paint).
#Etekcity_Ultralight_Portable_Outdoor_Backpacking

QUESTION: COULD SOMEONE VERIFY THE WEIGHT AND POST A REPLY? THANK YOU.
• 8 ounces
• It is very light about 2oz
• According to another retailer it weighs 5 ounces and I would probably agree without weighing it myself. I checked the Elekcity site and they had no measurement for the stoves weight, but said that it can hold up to 11 pounds.
#Etekcity_Ultralight

QUESTION: CAN IT BE USED INDOORS?
• While it certainly "can" be used indoors, I wouldn't do it. Besides the fire danger, any burning of fuel is likely to produce carbon monoxide which is odorless and can be fatal.
• It can be used indoors; be sure that adequate ventilation exists. The fuel is a propane and butane mix and will not produce much carbon monoxide, but any combustion will produce CO, so be sure to ventilate.
• This product is designed for use primarily for the outdoors. I personally would not recommend using any cooking device that is attached to a fuel canister indoors.
• As always use with caution. Yes you can use it indoors. This device is tiny. It is like a small busen burner. I would not use it inside my tent for fear it would tip over. I also suggest getting a tripod stabilzer for your fuel tank.

QUESTION: WHAT TYPE OF FUEL DOES IT USE?
• According to question #2: "mixed fuel canisters like the JetBoil. Pretty much any of that style canister will work."
• I am new to this and need clarification on the type of fuel this stove uses... Does it use butane, proprane, primus, or what? What is the difference between all of them?

QUESTION: IS THIS PERMITTED TO BE TAKEN ON AN AIRPLANE?
• I'm sure you could, however they absolutely would not accept the fuel cannister that fires this stove up.
• Yes but of course not the fuel containers u connect to it.
• I have taken this with no problems in checked bags. But no to the fuel canisters
• Never tried but I don't see why, especially when you put it in your luggage.. You should really ask the airliners or customs. Also, it's the US who's so strict with flying. When I was in Europe taking my shoes off in line, everybody looked at me funny, even when it was a plane going to the US!
• Yes stove itself can be taken in carry on or checked luggage. Just not fuel canisters
• Probably not, best bet is to check with TSA. As long as there is no fuel cell attached.

QUESTION: HOW DO YOU KEEP THE GAS CANISTER UPRIGHT WHEN COOKING TO ENSURE THAT IT DOESN'T FALL OVER?
• Use a canister stand like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Fire-maple-Folding-Canister-Multifunction-Cartridge/dp/B00NBFB8RA
• The gas canisters are typically flat on the bottom so there is no problem keeping them upright as long as you set it on flat ground
• Not over
• Not over
• The canisters that it uses usually has a flat, wide bottom. Falling over has never been as issue.
• It all depends on the size of the cannister. It will be up to the user to find a suitable place as it sits on top of the cannister.
• Most gas canisters are quite wide at the base. I doubt that it would be a problem. You can buy canister stands if you feel you need one.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE SMALLEST POT YOU CAN USE? I WANT THIS FOR A TINY MOKA POT

QUESTION: IF USED FOR EMERGENCIES, WHAT IS THE SHELF-LIFE OF THE FUEL?
• Fuel is good for about ever. As long as the bottle doesn't begin to get corroded, you're good to go.
• It never goes bad. Can could fail from corrosion. Also need to keep an unused can. A used can is more likely to leak at the valve. Lowest temp for 4 season fuel is around 17 degrees Fahrenheit, unless you take action to warm the fuel.
• I have used the same canister of fuel 6 years later, so I'm sure it's a long shelf life if the unit is removed from the fuel canister
• I believe the fuel will be good until the canister rusts through.
• The shelf life of the stove is independent of the stove. That'd be question for fuel canister manufacturer.

QUESTION: WHILE SCREWING IT IN THE FUEL CANISTER IT LEAKS FOR A SECOND AT A CERTAIN POINT UNTIL THE RUBBER RING AT THE BOTTOM SEALS IT, IS THAT NORMAL?
• I returned mine for this same reason. a very brief release of gas may be fine, but my unit had a considerable leak when screwing in the fuel.
• No not normal at all it should not leak at all u might have to make it tighter or if u have a harbor freight near you go their and get one of there o-ring kits and use a dental pick and pull the o-ring out of it and put a thicker one in
• I purchased an MSR pocket rocket instead just to avoid any further hassles. Although based on the number of positive review I'm sure the odds of getting a good unit are in your favor.

QUESTION: SHOULD I BUY THIS UNIT OR THE NEWER MODEL? WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES?
• I really like this stove great price too
• The built in igniter is the best thing about it no burnt finger tips
• If weight and size are a concern to you, you should definitely consider this stove. It stores away pretty easily and boils water fairly quick maybe even faster than some of the other name brand stoves I've tried, and at this price it won't just much to try it.
• I´m not familiar with the newer model. I can say that this product has a very good quality/price ratio anyway.
• I'm not sure about the newer model but this is a good portable stove that works well for pack packing and light cooking.

QUESTION: VERSUS THE MSR POCKET ROCKET?

QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK WITH CANISTER YOU CAN BUY FROM WALMART?
• Yes it works fine with mine ... Not the propaine canister but the little gray ones it works fine
• Yes
• Yes it will work I used the Primus power gas 4 season mix
• Yes, if you buy the Primus brand.
• It works with all the small, squat camping style canisters I have found. Not the tall propane torch canisters.
• I would think so. Does not require any special canister the standard ones fit fine. I have not tried the Walmart variety. It fits perfectly will the cans from big block outdoor stores.
• Yes, I purchased mine from walmart and works great.
• Yes, that is where I purchased my fuel for this model.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DISTANCE FROM THE TIP OF ONE FLIPPED OUT FIN TO THE TIP OF THE OPPOSITE FLIPPED OUT FIN. I'M CURIOUS HOW WIDE THE BASE IS FOR POTS.
• When I am back in my attic putting away Xmas decs, I will pull out the stove & measure, but 3-4 " sounds right and a small pot is the biggest I would use. It is perfect for a SS cup for coffee or soup. I found a great, super light weight canister stand by MSR to support the base and there may be a similar lightweight pot stand out there.
• 3-1/2" outer diameter when legs flipped out. Also, the legs may loosen up, but a twist to the right and they will all tighten back up.
• Between 3 and 4 inches...

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS STOVE AND THE "ULTRALIGHT BACKPACKING CANISTER CAMP STOVE WITH PIEZO IGNITION 3.9OZ" THAT SELLS FOR UNDER $6?
• there is one significant difference. i have purchased both. The cheap one has a lot of plastic parts (like the central core) and the Etekcity stove is solid aluminum and stainless steel. Operation is the same. Metal one may last longer.
• Absolutely nothing....Both are the same...
• Probably not much except that it ships from Hong Kong(which could take weeks to arrive) where as the Etekcity ships Prime. When I purchased this is was $10 so it's gone up a few bucks. Great stove though!

QUESTION: ONCE YOU SCREW THE STOVE ONTO A FUEL CANISTER CAN YOU TAKE IT BACK OFF WITHOUT WASTING FUEL
• Yes. No fuel was lost removing the stove. The fuel I used had a cap to put back on as well.
• Yes. There's a pin that pushes into the fuel canister, so as soon as you unscrew the stove the canister seals.
• Yes, you will a very very small amount. The gas can seals it's self after separating.
• Hi James. The Lindal valve (on the fuel canister) is self sealing. With that being said, I suspect there is a small amount of fuel wasted each time the stove attachment is screwed in or removed (but very little).
