QUESTION: HOW LONG IS THE FLASHLIGHT? WOULD YOU CONSIDER IT A FLASHLIGHT THAT COULD COMFORTABLY BE CARRIED IN YOUR POCKET?
• The J5 v1 is only 3.7" long, but also has a belt clip.
• I measured it it's 4 inches long and yes its carried perfectly. I wear cargo pants for work and I hardly notice it. I love it it's just the right size. I bought two. I'm debating who to give the other one too. It shines way out like 600 feet like it says and only on one battery. I was shocked but it's a great value compared to the ones in the store. They were understating how good it is.
• I would guess 4 inches in length. I can tell you with certainty that it was slightly shorter than my iPhone 5 with a life proof case and only twice as thick. It also has a clip that would serve well in attaching to a belt although I don't know how well as I didn't use it.
• Yes,it's about 4inches.Flashlight comes with a nice belt clip.
• You can the specs on length on the web. I'm not good on guesstimating. As long as your pants aren't tight in the pocket area, yes.
• Its not the smallest you can buy but 1.5 times the length of an AA battery. I easily carry it in my pocked all the time.
• Yes I would great little flashlight to carry in your pocket , it's about 2 in long give or take you will love the light !!!
• The light is about 4 inches long. And we have never had any complaints with people carrying it in their pocket.

QUESTION: HOW FAR WILL THIS FLASHLIGHT SHINE?
• I haven't used it more then about 30 feet and it did worked good at that distance considering the size of the light
• Good to 100-200 yards depending on weather conditions.
• With my trial across the Bay I would say over three hundred yards, that's using the spot mode.
• Edward, I believe about 100 yards.
• 20ft the most, it's not even bright in close quarters.
• 100 yards easy.

QUESTION: OK SO I WANT THIS SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISORIENTING SOMEONE WITH BAD INTENTIONS, DO YOU HAVE TO CYCLE ALL THE MODES WITHE EVERY BUTTON CLICK?
• I'm not a security expert, but it certainly disoriented me when my wife flashed it in my eyes.
• Yes but it is very bright on the first click
• The lens is telescoping. Move it in and out. The light is bright
• You have to click the button another time to engage the strobe setting. But you can zoom in & out fast by simply pushing out & pulling in the end of the light where the lens is located. Super bright light. I've flashed it in people's faces & they are definitely disoriented.hope this helps.
• Yes, it's on the third press but you can cycle through quickly with half presses on the button. You don't have to completely press the button down.
• Yes. The first click is in regular mode, the second click is in bright mode, and the third click is in strobe light mode. Also, depending on the battery life, it is very bright with an adjustable lens.
• no, first FULL click gives bright, second FULL turns it off, next half click turns it to dim, next half click turns to Strobe . Full click on again but you can double click to change mode to what you want. otherwise simple on simple off works. Try it yourself between full deep click and half click you'll see. You Can do On and Off real simple with full Click on full click off.

QUESTION: WILL IT FIT IN A FOBUS MAGAZINE/TACTICAL COMBO POUCH?
• Fits in my shirt pocket; fits in my Surefire tactical belt pouch... It will not fit in a fobus magazine pouch
• I'm not sure, but it is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, approx 3" around and 4" long. Hope this helps! I love it!
• Yes....the flashlight is absolutely awesome possibly the best flashlight I have ever owned and I have owned hundreds

QUESTION: IS THE CLIP ON THIS REVERSIBLE, OR IS IT ABLE TO CLIP TO THE BRIM OF A BASEBALL HAT/CAP FOR HANDS FREE USE?
• I would say no. Even though it has two small screws that hold the clip on - which could be removed and the clip reversed - there is only about half an inch of flashlight body behind where the clip mounts. If you reversed the clip the majority of it would stick out beyond the body of the light and not support the light. The part of the clip that would still be in contact or over the body of the light angles up away from the light so I dont think it would hold well if at all. I will say the sping steel clip is very strong but that said I dont think it would work. For being a small light it is also quite heavy so if it was forward on a hat bill I think it would be more a pain then a help. Sorry! Great idea but not the best fot for that use in my humble opinion.
• The clip can be reversed but not sure how secure it would be on a hat since the clip attachment point is about 0.5 inches from the end of the flashlight.
• It is not, you will not be able to clip it to a hat. We do have a new head lamp, for your hands free use.
• The clip can not be reversed it would extend out further than the flashlight and unfortunately would not work attached to a hat or cap.

• Rachel, it does both, it can be silent and the click also. I hope this was able to help you
• both of mine click
• Click sound
• Yes it clicks on and off but is silent switching modes
• It makes a little clicking sound, Rachel.

QUESTION: MY J5 TACTICAL FLASH LIGHT, THE AA BATTERY IS TOO SMALL JUST RATTLES AROUND. WHY
• Not sure what is going on, the J5 Pro V1 uses AA batteries, and the J5 V2 uses (1) 18650 3.7v (2200 mAh to 2600 mAh) battery. Can you tell me which one you have? http://www.j5tactical.com/product/j5v2-tactical-flashlight/
• My guess is to allow the use of larger, rechargeable batteries.
• AAA
• It shouldn't rattle if u have a double A. No room for it to rattle unless the spring on the bottom isn't right. Check to make sure u have the right battery and the spring isn't crushed.
• Check your battery size again, Clyde. If I had to guess, I would bet you put a AAA battery in it. I bought two of these and one AA is a perfect fit. There is no room to rattle around. Hope this helps.
• AAA
• Mine fits fine. There is a spring on the inside at the bottom where the batteries go in, that is to make them snug. My husband loves his.
• Check to make sure there is a spring connection at the bottom of the battery tunnel. Only thing I could think.of.
• Mine doesn't rattle at all. Are you sure you used AA vs. AAA? Mine fits perfectly.
• Sorry so late, but first make sure you have a double a battery. Second, there should be a spring on the end of the cap

QUESTION: DOES IT HAVE HIGH AND LOW LIGHT AND STROBE?

• Bright light adjustable no strob
• Yes it does
• No , high only. No strobe
• Yes. The j5 v1 pro has high low and strobe

QUESTION: HOW LONG DOWS A COMMON AA BATTERY LAST?
• I use mind every day , throughout the day . I get three weeks to a month .
• Daily use about 3 weeks, I have 3 of these and use it fairly regularly camping and crabbing at the beach. The size is perfect, fits in my pocket and I have beat on it and its still going strong. I live in Hawaii and the salt air carodes things quick here but I haven't noticed any thing on this light. My son dropped his in the water at the beach a few weeks ago and I thought it was toast but it still is working... love this light!
• W. On High it lasts 2 hours if you leave it on on low 4 hours if left on and on strobe it lasts 10 hours if left on
• as long as your use at a little at a time about 2weeks.
• It last about 2 weeks depending on how much you use it. I need to tell you I bought 2 of these and have problems with both. I listed my problem on their website and my comments were deleted immediately and I was banned from their site. So I think you should know that if your thinking of buying. I noticed there were nothing but praise on their site from customers, and nothing negative. Now I know why.
• good to know Brian...i was about to buy one...Thanks

QUESTION: CAN THIS LIKE BE PROGRAMMED TO NOT STROBE? I HAVE A STREAM LIGHT THAT HAS THAT OPTION.
• Sure. It will only strobe if you choose that setting.
• No you can not. It has a 3 push button.
• I'm not positive, but I think not. At least I haven't been able to do it.
• I am sorry, But there is no way to program the light. It just comes with the strobe.

QUESTION: A DOUBLE A BATTERY WON'T FIT IT TO SHORT
• A A works. ..it may seem short but when you but the end back on it works great
• AA battery is the right size. Either you're trying to use a AAA or else some part internal to the flashlight is missing. Also check to be sure the lens end of the flashlight is screwed all the way in to make contact with the + end of the battery.
• It uses 1 AA batrery. AAA won't work.
• AA are the correct size battery..... Anything smaller is a AAA size...which will be too small for the flashlight....
• I put one AA battery in my J5 and it works fine. it is made for one USof A battery. so I don't know what the problem is send it back and get a different one. or a replacement one.
• Paul, It should fit it, that is what we put in the V1-pro. Unless you got the wrong flashlight, a double AA is what the v1-pro takes
• Check your spring on screw cap or Maybe you have a unconventional battery.
• Manufactured improperly. Return that sucker! The AA battery fit mine, but note my review about how there are connection shorts, so the chamber may be a tad to large on mine, and way off on yours.

QUESTION: IS IT A GOOD FLASHLIGHT TO LEAVE IN YOUR CAR FOR EMERGENCIES?
• Would be great for that. Just leave a couple new AA batteries in the glove box
• I would think so. Mine are going in vehicles and our camper
• Honestly I would buy something more reliable. I used this once and kept it on my nightstand. When it came time to use it, stopped working. I put various different batteries in it with no luck of it functioning. Spend a little extra money for better quality.
• Yes, it is. It's great for finding those dropped keys.
• I had mine several months works perfectly. Check the batteries though if you leave it in a car. Don't know if extreme heat or cold will affect it working as I have mine on a nightstand.
• Most definitely! This comes with 3 settings with the 3rd being the most useful if stranded. The first setting is a super bright setting, the second a lower setting. But the 3rd is a strobe setting which is useful to getting other drivers attention.

• My friend uses it on his bike he said it worked well with the adjustable lense pulled half ways. Email me at solarwellpumpsonline@gmail.com to discuss further.
• Yes
• No!!! You should use a light designed for that purpose!!!

QUESTION: WILL THIS LIGHT FIT A MAGPUL FLASHLIGHT MOUNT?
• David, It should fit it.
• The diameter of the barrel on this light is about 22 mm, or about 7/8 inch. The length of the barrel where a bracket-type mount would hold it is about 1 inch. I don't know the dimensions of the Magpul mount, but this light may actually be too small for it. I have purchased several of the Protec Elite HP-190 lights. They mount on a standard Picatinny rail and I have been very pleased with them. A little more pricey though. About $30 each, I believe. Hope this helps.
• If you take the belt clip off I'm sure you could!
• The flashlight is a piece of junk. Mine doesn't work. Don't waste your money or time on this one. I bought another type. Good luck.

QUESTION: IS THERE A WAY TO KEEP IT AT THE BRIGHT SETTING? EACH TIME I TURN IT OFF THEN ON, IT SWITCHES TO THE NEXT SETTING.
• No there isnt
• If you push it all the way in it will stay if you push half way and pause it changes
• Phillip, Unfortunately that is the way the flashlight is set up.
• You have to leave the power off for a few seconds, otherwise the controller chip will assume you are intentionally cycling power to change modes. When the controller starts up for the first time after a few seconds it will automatically default to bright mode. Press the button slightly (or quickly cycle it on and off) to change modes. Modes are Bright -> Dim - Bright Strobe.

• The on/off button in the rear of the flashlight has a latched operation. You press the switch once for on and press it again for off. Once it's on, a slight depression will cause the light to go into flash mode where the light will strobe.
• No, the J5 Tactical Flashlight does not have a momentary on function. The button is click on, click off. However, in the on mode a momentary (gentle) push will cycle through the three modes bright, dim, strobe.
• Robert, Yes it does
• It's a great light with no problems.

QUESTION: CAN YOU ATTACH IT TO A GUN?
• No, but it's got a bright light and strobe motion. Also has a rigid front for glass breakage. Not a bad flashlight for the price.
• No, and it is not worth the $
• Yes, we have a lot of customers attaching it to their guns.
• it's possible but you'd need to provide the gun type you're wanting to attach to. You may want to consider a higher lumen output than 300 lumens. This is a great no-nonsense flashlight for walking, looking into dark closets/attics, car engines, dark hallways/alleys, etc. I would not attach to a rifle.
• No. Nothing on the light for gun attachment.

QUESTION: HOW DOES THE MODES WORK? HIGH, OFF, LOW, OFF, STROBE, OFF? OR HIGH, LOW, STROBE, OFF?
• Damien, to cycle through the modes after the flashlight is turned on all you have to do is slightly depress the on off button.
• You click on the back button (red on some, black on others) and it will change the light from high to low to strobe each time you click it; you pull out the front piece to go from small to widespread beam.
• After you turn the light on, push softly on the button and it goes from high, soft and strobe. It doesn't turn off until you push the button with the same force as when turning it on.

• Yes it's adjustable, just pull the head out. You can see the square LED box with the tight beam. Super bright, if it has the correct reflector and led in it, I have got them with different LED's and they forgot to put a reflector in. Try to use Prime for no hassle return.
• It is adjustable, all you will need to do is pull out on the head of the flashlight to zoom in and pull back to zoom out. The square is visible if you are zoomed all the way in.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE A 14500 BATTERY?
• I'm not familiar with that battery you are talking about. If the size dimensions are the same as a AA battery maybe it can be used, but don't hold me to it. I wanted this specifically because it takes an AA battery so when it needs to be replaced I don't have to go crazy trying to find the right battery.
