QUESTION: IN THE PICTURES THE FRUIT IS INSIDE OF THE BOTTLE BELOW THE CHAMBER, IS THE FRUIT SUPPOSE TO GO INSIDE THE CHAMBER OR INSIDE OF THE BOTTLE ITSELF?
• Suppose to go inside, but I know people who put the fruit directly in the bottle.
• The chamber
• I place the fruit ... inside the infuser chamber, place round filter on top and tighten to underside of top, then screw on top to bottle.
• The beauty of this bottle is that it has a double filtration. So you can put fruit into the chamber or into the bottle outside the chamber. I put large fruit pieces directly into the bottle and it looks beautiful & works great!
• Hi, The Great Gear infuser bottle is specially designed with a double filtration system so that you can put fruit and other ingredients into the bottle or into the infuser basket, or into both at the same time. One of the advantages of adding fruit into the bottle directly is that you can fit whole slices of orange or large cubes of melon easily and so it is easy to prepare. Another advantage is that it looks very appealing and appetizing, like a beautiful mason jar infusion or a water dispenser which you would see in a spa. Fruit Infusion is an art and is very beautiful. This has been a real benefit of our design and a best selling feature of the Great Gear flavor infuser water bottle. The infuser basket is great for holding smaller fruits and pieces, loose herbs, or a loose teabag, and when you want a lighter flavor infusion into your water. Happy infusing!

QUESTION: HOW DO I KNOW THIS IS A TRULY BPA FREE WATER BOTTLE?
• I would say there are probably inspections that verify claims of manufacturing process and specs but I don't know for sure. It seems almost like a glass bottle, which it is not. To get the factual answer, just email Great Gear through Amazon. They will be very cooperative and I believe, quick to reply.
• You can actually call the company directly and speak to a live person. They are very helpful and have been a great company to deal with.

QUESTION: DOES IT RESIST STAIN AND ODOR?
• So far so good. I've used strawberry and lime
• So far it has. It washes up well.
• I've only had mine for about a week so it's still too early to tell, however, I have followed the instructions carefully and have only put water in it and so far so good. I have put pleanty of dark and red berries that do stsin in it and you'd never know it. As far as odor, it's fine. I rinse it out well between fruits and let dry s d it has no smell.
• I started using this bottle very recently. However, I am treating it as I treat all plastic products by cleaning it with approx. 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in warm water. Add solution, shake, and let sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Baking soda removes stains, eliminates odors, and won't harm the bottle. Good for your drain too.
• I've had many different fruits in the container and anytime I change the combinations, all is good. I have not had any issues with odor and stains.
• Yes is resits stains and orders from use and in high heat, such as a dishwasher. The water bottle uses the highest grade of Tritan which is a co-polyester that is FDA tested for safe use with food and water. More information can be found here http://ws.eastman.com/ProductCatalogApps/PageControllers/ProdDatasheet_PC.aspx?Product=71070313&sCategoryName=Generic regarding the material used and its properties.
• So far, we have not had any issues with either.
• I don't know, mine broke before I could use it!

QUESTION: CAN I PUT HOT WATER IN THE BOTTLE?
• I'm sure if you wanted to but it's plastic so not too hot I imagine and it won't keep warm
• The directions say no
• it's a regular plastic water bottle - so I'm not sure. We just put spring water with cut up fruit and it works great. You could get online and find the website of the company that makes this and I'm sure it will say it there...
• I've used hot tap water to help melt frozen fruit, but not boiling or from a coffee maker hot.

QUESTION: ARE ALL PIECES DISHWASHER SAFE?
• I've washed mine in the dishwasher and had no problem
• Yes. As always, it is best to put the infuser water bottle cap/lid, infuser and bottle on the top-shelf.We use Eastman Tritan TX2001 for the bottle, which is a vegetable based co-polyester designed to withstand high temperatures in the dishwasher. This is a quote from the manufacture's specifications data sheet "...combined with Tritan copolyester's outstanding chemical resistance and hydrolytic stability (ability not to react with water), these features give molded products enhanced durability in the dishwasher environment, which can expose products to high heat, humidity, and aggressive cleaning agents." (Source: Eastman Trtian TX2001 SDS) If you have any problems in the dishwasher, email or call Great Gear Shop, so we can see if it is covered by our Lifetime Warranty.
• Yes it is.
• Yes, I haven't had a problem with putting them in the dishwasher. I put the small parts where the silverware goes so they don't get thrown around.

QUESTION: WHY ARE THERE 3 SCREENS?
• We had a few customer who lost theirs so we decided to send an extra just in case.
• On the bottle I received there were only two. One for the longer white fruit basket and one for the shorter blue basket. I have two different styles of infuser water bottles and this one is by far the best. Easy to use and does not leak. The top flips up easily and out of the way. When you close the lid you can hear the click and know it is sealed.
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: HOW MUCH FRUIT DO YOU HAVE TO PUT IN TO GET A NOTICEABLE FLAVOR IN THE WATER?
• It depends on what you are adding and how ripe it is. I use fruits, vegetable and herbs in mine. For a lemon, lime or orange, I use two slices each cut in half. Cucumber mint is very good - using two slices of cucumber, each cut in half and four mint leaves. The more important thing is to fill it to the top so the water covers your fruit.
• Using strawberries, about 4 - I just squeeze them a bit and then shake the bottle. Raspberries, I used about 8, again, squeeze a bit and then shake the bottle. A really good flavor to try is strawberries and bananas - about 2 strawberries and 2 1-inch chunks of nanner - VERY tasty. Hubby really loved this one! Strawberries and a 3-4 leaves of mint is also dee-lish!
• Just filling up the filter will give u a noticeable flavor. That's all it takes for me to get some flavor, sometimes I'll throw in a slice of lemon into the bottle itself. It also helps to prepare it the night before, fill it up with water and let it sit over night. Then you'll get the most of your fruit.

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE IT WITHOUT THE INFUSER IN IT AS WELL?
• Yes.
• Yes you can.
• Yes, it unscrews from the top.
• I think it comes off. I sold it for $1 at a rummage sale because it was so cheaply made.
• Yes. It screws in and out.
• Yes. You can use it without the infuser as a water bottle. You can still put fruit in the bottle , but there is no filter/screen to prevent the fruit from restricting the water flow or removing small fruit particles.
#Infuser_Water_Review

QUESTION: I'VE TRIED LEMONS, STRAWBERRY AND CRUSHED MINT AND CAN'T TASTE IT IN THE WATER UNLESS OUTSIDE THE INFUSER. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
• I am no expert by any means but I find if I shake the bottle several times after I place the fruit, herbs.... inside the infuser, it will release more of the flavor from the infuser into the water. Hope this helps!
• I cut my lemons and skinned fruit thin. When I used strawberries, I have used a little more ripe ones. I shake it up and let it sit for about 30 minutes before drinking. I really pack the cage as well. Hope this helps.
• I will try that. Thanks so much!
• I have tried frozen strawberries in the infusers and out and have tasted in both. Mainly I have been putting the lemons and limes in this outside of the infuser.
• Perfect. I will try that as well. Thanks!
• I have a home soda maker, and I'm using carbonated water in the bottle. That might help the the fruit flavor more active. Or you could try squeezing some of juices in the water as you put the fruit in the infuser, or fill it up and let it sit for a bit, like with tea.
#Infuser_Water_Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: DOES THE ACIDITY OF THE FRUIT DAMAGE THE PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE AFTER CONTINUED USE?
• I've had this bottle for a while and have noticed no damage. The water dilutes it enough that you don't have to worry about it
• No... It has really been just fine. I wash it every day... I mean if you left it sitting out for days... It would have issues just like any cup would. I hope this helps !
• I haven't had any problems with it!
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: WHY DO I HAVE 2 DIFFERENT SIZE INFUSION BASKETS?
• It probably depends on how much fruit you want in bottle. The long one provides much more contact with the water. If you just want a subtle fruit taste use the short one.
• Hi Valerie, I have this bottle also...And I wondered the exact same thing, one baker I believe that one is to hold ice, and the other for fruit
• I have no idea why it came w/2 different sizes, but I use one for fruit and one for vegis. I am sure they are interchangeable though.
• The short infuser basket works well when you want to cold brew your water overnight in the refrigerator or while exercising and you want maximum water volume in your bottle. The short infuser also lets you put more fruit into the bottle, instead of the basket for maximum flavor. The long infuser allows your fruit to sit in the water lower in the bottle, which is good at the the office or while driving. We received comments from customer who asked for both so we decided to include both sizes to accommodate more uses.
#Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: IS THE PART OF THE LID WHERE THE WATER COMES OUT SOFT?
• No, it is hard plastic
• No. The entire top of the bottle is hard plastic. The part you would drink from has a hard plastic lid with a soft "gasket-type" material inside that prevents the leaking. That lid pops open on a hinge when you push the side button.
• Sorry Juliana. The spout is a hard plastic material.
• No it isn't, it's hard plastic.
#Infuser_Water_Review

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE THE BOTTLE WITHOUT THE BASKET?
• yes you can.
• Yes you can. Here are some suggestions from our customers: > No Infuser: Use when you just want a water bottle. > Fruit in Long Infuser: Use when you want fruit immersed in water for long periods, like while driving, in the office, at home, or while traveling. > Fruit In Short Infuser: Use when you don't need a lot of fruit, or prepare the night before and chill in the refrigerator overnight. If you run or go for walk, and want more water in the bottle the short infuser works great because there is less fruit and the natural agitation increases the flavor. You can also use the short infuser to "cold brew" loose tea overnight. > Fruit in the Bottle: When you want a lot of flavor you can put fruit in the bottle, use the short infuser to help keep fruit on the bottom of the bottle and act as a double strainer. The double screening works great with loose leaf tea in the bottle bottom instead of in the infuser tube.
• Yes
• Yes

QUESTION: DOES IT SWEAT?
• I haven't had any issues with the bottle sweating.
• Not that I've noticed.
• I haven't had a problem with it sweating.
• Hello, mine does not sweat. I have had it in the fridge overnight and then brought it to work the next morning without any mess. Hope that helps.
• I haven't noticed iy, but it hasn't been warm at all where I live...so I cant say for sure.

QUESTION: WHAT KIND OF SPOUT IS IT? IS IT THE RUBBER KIND YOU HAVE TO SORT OF BITE TO DRINK OUT OF? HARD TO TELL IN THE PICTURE.
• It is a hard plastic spout that is covered by the attached cap. You press a little button and it springs open and closed very easily. It is also wide enough to squeeze a thin rag through for cleaning purposes.
• No, just a hard normal one. I like the spout
• i'll try to answer it the best i can.. its not soft it's a hard plastic spout doesn't take a lot of effort u just tip it a little and suck, don't have to bite to drink out of it hope that helps.
• It's just a regular plastic opening. There's rubber on the top to secure the closing but that's all.
• No, its a round opening which you cover with the cap
• It's a open top spout with a rubber grommet cap that flips up and snaps over the spout.. like I said in my other review, this bottle is top heavy a likes to tip over very easy. Also it is a two piece design and mine cracked in half when it hit the ground.
#Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE INFUSER FLAVORS?
• I prefer citrus fruits, they are refreshing.
• I like cucumber with lemon and lime.. I also really like strawberries and lemon
• I use a frozen mixed berry bag that you can pick up at your local grocery store! It has rasberries, blueberries, and I believe strawberries. It's super good! I also use lemons. :)

QUESTION: CAN YOU KEEP FILLING THE BOTTLE OVER AND OVER AGAIN WITH WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY OR DO YOU NEED NEW FRUIT EVERY TIME???
• You can fiill it up tbroughout the day
• We refill throughout the day and even the next day depending in the fruit.
• From my experience it depends on the fruit. Some fruit will start ti break apart. For me I could made some last 3 or 4 bottles. PS, the water taste more fruity if you leave it filled in the fridge over night. Also, shaking helps too.
• I used the same fruit all day with no problem... Even the next day with no problem and great taste. I would replace it after that though to avoid getting sick from the fruit becoming old and going baf.
• I fill mine at least 4 times before I change new fruit, but I also fill before its near empty so already infused water mixes with new.
• I bring it to work and fill it all day from the Poland Spring water we have - so yes
#Infuser_Water_Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: DO I HAVE TO PUT THE LITTLE BASKET LID ON THE BASKET BEFORE ADDING TOP THE FLIP TOP?
• I wouldn't think so - but you may get chunks of fruit or seeds when you are drinking if you don't.
• Yes
• Yes because it keeps the fruit and/or vegis from floating out into the bottle. I only know that because I forgot to put it on one time.
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT IT?
• Nothing. Basket broke shortly after I received it. Overall didn't care for this in the least unfortunately.
• I got rid of mine I do not know what people love it so much.It is hard plastic and you can put fruit in the middle but I did not care for the bottle.
• nice to carry ..and it infused the water with flavor...
• mine never broke ive had it gor a while maybe return yours?
• I like that it locks and unlocks to help prevent leaking. I like the drinkability of it as opposed to a camel back version. As far as the infuser it works great as I do a lot of fruit and vege mixes like the detox water lemon cucumber etc and gets the seeds etc out so I don't drink that.
• ah, how charming your question is. It works well, and I love having the ability to flavor water when I need to boost my intake.
#Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: IS THIS BOTTLE GLASS OR PLASTIC?
• Plastic
• It's plastic. Very sturdy.
• sturdy plastic
• It's plastic :)
• Bottle is a hard plastic. Of all the bottles I have purchased, this one is my favorite. Easy to open and close, does not leak. Great for when you want water or liquids on a desk or near a computer.

QUESTION: CAN YOU PUT THIS INFUSER IN THE DISH WASHER?
• The instructions say it is dishwasher safe I just haven't done it, mostly because I use it every day and I don't run my dishwasher every day.
• Yes, I have been washing mine in the top rack of the dishwasher and no problems so far.
• Hi. It is absolutely dishwasher safe. The instructions say it is dish washer safe and recommend the top rack. I have been washing mine in the dishwasher and it works well.
• I just wash mine manually. But the one thing I would alert you to is that they definitely don't recommend putting boiling water in it. They said they tried it themselves, and it melted.
• It is not dish washer safe, sorry. I do love it though!

QUESTION: DOES THE INFUSED WATER RECIPES BOOK IN THE LAST IMAGE COME WITH THE BOTTLE?
• I had a booklet with recipes in my bottle.
• Its an e-book. So yes it does come with the bottle.
• Hi Chelsea, I do not remember a recipe book. I purchased the bottle in the Summer and I do not recall a book. Sorry to be vague!
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: DOES IT COME WITH THE BOOK
• No, the book is in digital form and is sent to you as soon as the bottle is shipped.

Just today I received another email thanking me for the purchase and reminding me about about the lifetime warranty. I love this bottle.

QUESTION: DOES THIS COMPLETELY FLAVOR THE WATER SO IT TASTES LIKE A FRUITY DRINK, OR DOES IT TASTE MORE LIKE WATER WITH A HINT OF FRUIT?
• It taste like water with a hint of fruit, however as the day goes on it takes on more flavor.
• Water with a nice hint of fruit:)
• Water with a hint of fruit, it's refreshing
#Infuser_Water_Review

QUESTION: THROUGHOUT THE DAY DOES IT GET WARMER OR DOES IT STAY COLD?
• This bottle is not any insulated bottle so the water might get warm depending on the place you are.Hope it helps!
• it gets warmer it's not a insulated bottle.
• It gets warmer, just like any other water bottle. This doesn't have any insulation or other cooling system. The center holds fruit (it's just a basket, not a cooling core), but you could easily freeze the fruit to help keep it cold longer.
• it gets warmer throughout the day. i would freeze it ahead of time if you want it to be colder longer
• It is not insulated so it doesn't stay cold. Which is a real bummer.
#Infuser_Water_Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: WILL THIS FILTER OUT LOOSE LEAF TEA AS WELL
• For the finer pieces, no. But the majority of it, yes! It certainly not designed for it.
• Probably not. I use mint leaves, cilantro and basil and they are fine. Anything smaller would go into the water.
• I'm inclined to say no, the holes are quite big.
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: HOW DIFFICULT/ EASY IS IT TO CLEAN ALL THE PIECES OF THIS?
• It's pretty easy to clean all the pieces, but the plastic is super cheap and mine broke the 3rd time I washed it.
• Very easy to clean.
• I take the two larger pieces and shake them with a few drops of detergent and hot water. The cap and strainer is just rinsed under hot water.
• Very easy. Pieces screw in cap
• As soon as i get home i do myself a favor and rinse it all out, so i dont have any fruit drying and sticking to any pieces. I think with a bottle cleaner, it would be fine if u dont feel like rinsing after each use.. But i havnt needed one, no issues here!
#Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS WITHOUT THE INFUSER?? IS IT DETACHABLE OR IT HAS TO BE ON THE BOTTLE?
• It is detachable from the inside of the lid, you can use it without the infuser attached
• Yes you can remove it and still use the bottle.
• Yes. The infuser tube is detachable.
#Infuser_Water_Review

QUESTION: IS THIS BOTTLE DISHWASHER SAFE?
• I believe it is, but mine is quite new and have so far only washed by hand.
• I have not tried to put it in my dishwasher. I have only needed to take a little warm soapy water to get it clean. I imagine that it could cause some discoloration but if you tried it I wouldn't put the bottle or lid anywhere but the top rack.
• Top rack dishwasher safe, but in a normal dishwasher the bottle is too high to stand it up. Laying it down results in it not getting clean as the water gets stuck inside. I just hand wash it.
• I put mine in there all the time
• Yes, in the top rack.
• Yes it is
#Infuser_Water_Bottle_Sport_Flip-top

QUESTION: DOES PROTEIN POWDER WORKS IN THE INFUSER?
• I don't think protein powder would work well in the infuser, however I have not tried it.
• I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work if you put the protein powder in the bottle itself and not the fruit holder.
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS BOTTLE WITH TEAS OR WITH CARBONATED WATER INFUSIONS?
• Absolutely yes and yes! Infused water is great with carbonated water if you like to add a little sparkle into your flavored waters. Our infuser bottle is designed with an extra filter which strains out small pieces and is excellent to use for filtering whole tea. As well, you can always add a tea bag into the bottle along with other ingredients. Happy infusing!
• I don't see why not.
• I don't know about carbonated infusions but I don't know why you couldn't use it with tea. It seems like it would work well with tea, but I haven't tried it yet.

QUESTION: IS THIS PLASTIC? OR GLASS
• It's plastic. Pretty sturdy too. My handicap boy has dropped his several times and no breakage. Yeah
• BPA-Free Tritan material. It is a safe plastic.
• Plastic. I love mine!
#Infuser_Water_Review

QUESTION: CAN YOU USE FROZEN FRUIT AND STILL GET THE SAME FLAVOR?
• I haven't personally, but I don't see why not.
• Yup! Just let it sit a little longer!
• I use frozen fruit all the time. I like it better, actually.
• I've used frozen blueberries. Not sure how the taste would compare to fresh blueberries, but I liked the flavor.
• This was a gift I got for my sister and she has used frozen fruit in it before. She prefers the taste of real fruit versus frozen fruit in it.
• My sister has used frozen strawberries and blueberries she just leaves it in a little longer than regular fruit to get the same taste.

QUESTION: IS THIS DISHWASHER SAFE?

• No,, it's not.. Ours melted
#Infuser_Water

QUESTION: IS IT DISHWASHER SAFE?
• I have not put it in the dishwasher yet. I see no reason why it would not be as it is made with very sturdy plastic. I rinse mine out everyday with soap and water with a brush or sponge.
• Yep
• We've only washed by hand with hot soapy water. It looks as though it would be top rack dishwasher safe. That is purely speculation based on other products made of similar material.
• I put the main bottle in the bottom rack and the strainer and lid in the top rack. All are fine.
• Yes. Have put bottle and lid on top shelf. Basket and strainer in flatware holder on bottom shelf.

QUESTION: I WANT TO ADD HERBS AND OTHER TINY FLAVOR ENHANCERS. HOW DO I DO THIS WITHOUT MAKING A MESS?
• As long as they are not too small, they should work fine in the infuser basket. Or you could put them in the bottle itself, and let the infuser part act as a filter as well. This would make it harder to clean the bottle, but might be worth the trouble.
• Tea filter
• I know there is a strainer like cover inside, so i believe it would work fine..
• You can add them into the infused basket. Just make sure they are not too small or they will slip through the basket. I usually use different fruits.

#Infuser_Water_Review

QUESTION: CAN YOU PUT LOOSE LEAF TEA IN HERE?
• Yes. Well, I would say a qualified yes. Because the only thing that's recommended you not do, is put boiling water in the bottle. But it's possible that some of the fine bits or sediment might come through into what you're drinking because the holes in the filter that sits on top of the basket are about a sixteenth-inch. Anything smaller than that is going to pass through. I have seen a review where someone had used tea bags and they said that worked very well for them.
• No

• I would think ok to eat the fruit if it wasn't in there for hours. I keep refilling over the course of the day so I don't eat the fruit after.
• I do. That's no problem.
• It's ok as long as you dont mind the fruits being mushy a bit... Lol
• Sometimes when I on a protein or fiber binge I'll take the fruit put it in a blender with chocolate protein powder and make a shake. If the fruit is out of the water for a several hours I toss it.
