QUESTION: I SEE A NUMBER OF REVIEWS STATING THAT THE BATTERIES ARRIVED EITHER "LOOSE" OR IN DIFFERENT PACKAGING. SO MANY MIXED REVIEWS, SOUNDS LIKE AN IFFY BUY?
• My package came exactly like the photo, can't speak for the rest, but mine work great and I still have 8 left!
• I don't remember what the packaging was like when mine arrived but I think it was in the tube type container pictured. They were all in new condition and factory Streamlight batteries. I store them in SureFire spares carriers anyway so the packaging didn't matter much to me. If you use CR123 batteries I highly recommend a Surefire spares carrier.
• My batteries arrived nicely packaged, inside a clear container, which held them all snug. The batteries work fantastic, and I've had the pack for about 2 years and I've only changed my flashlight batteries about 3 times. I say the batteries were a great buy!
• No issue with my order, arrived perfect and as promised.
• Honestly all is good.the batteries do get shipped in a dinky envelope lined with bubble wrap and it did come with 3 damaged batteries but they all worked perfectly.even the damaged ones(wrinkled battery wrapping).
• The batteries are a-little loose, but I had no issues with the packing. No damage was done to the batteries I received. For the price you will not find a better deal. Some people are not happy unless they have something to complain about.
• I just received my 12 batteries in a different container. It was secure and re-seal-able. Each battery had a code on it (3413). I called Streamlight and they said the batteries were manufactured the 34th week of 2013. Yep, they are fresh batteries!
• The cells work fine, but mine came packaged differently. It was not the nice fitting container pictured, but was a larger one which looked as if it had been opened and would have had space for another 4 cells. Because of this a couple of the cells had fallen out of the container and were loose in the box.
• Mine came in a different package but secured and in good condition.
• Mime came in a different plastic container which was loose and had space for another four batteries. No printing, marking at,all on package. Batteries all are Streamlight. I figured it would have brand printed on container. I would be concerned had I not purchased directly from Amazon.

QUESTION: ARE THESE RE-CHARGEABLE?
• No
• These batteries pare not the rechargeable kind. These do last quite awhile and they store for 10 years.
• No they are not rechargeable. They were purchased for a tactical streamlight and get replaced if they lose their charge.
• No they are not. That's why I purchased them from amazon. They are a very expensive battery. They will last a long time if you do not abuse them. Amazon had a very fair and reasonable price.
• No they are n9t

QUESTION: CAN THESE BE SAFELY USED IN A SMOKE DETECTOR THAT REQUIRE CR123A BATTERIES? MY BATTERY IS CR123 INDUSTRIAL LITHIUM AND NOT A CR123 PHOTO LITHIUM.
• For personal liability reasons I cannot make any statement positive or negative of any component to be used in the type of product you are intending. What I will state is that only a handful of companies actually make batteries, and given a slight +/- in mA a lithium battery is a lithium battery, no matter what buzzword is printed on the package (it is always the preferred advertising to 'name' a product as "industrial", "photo", etc., to spur sales). Obviously an "alkaline" battery is quite different, hence the cheaper cost. I have used this particular brand for quite a while and have had no problems of failure due to inferior construction or 'shelf life'. With that "if the purchase was for me personally", I would have no concerns of using this brand stated as a 'photo' battery in my home. Please note that there are always "sales" going on, consisting of a big box of (any) batteries for pennies in cost . These are either first run lots that are way past their shelf life, or are used lots processed for re-purposing. Personally I would never choose (for the purpose you intend) "Box-O-Batteries" for $5.99. Any household electronics work hard enough, and it's well worth investing in quality to power them. I hope this helps answer your question.
• Should be fine, I used it for other of my equipments and it does fine BUT I recommend not to buy these batteries, the battery life is total bogus! I think they are old batteries and resold! It does not last long and my tlr2 does not flash strong as it is supposed to! I recommend you get it from a store!
• I use them for my smoke detectors. Did not have any problems.
• If it requires CR123A batteries yes but I wouldn't go with this brand. Just received 2 dead batteries

QUESTION: I HAVE A STREAMLIGHT FLASHLIGHT. IS IT OKAY TO USE WITH IT?
• If your flashlight takes CR123A batteries, then these are good for you. I use them in my Streamlight TLR-1HL & they work great.
• Yes it is.
• yes, they are proper for stream light, i will say i have ordered them several times, and 1 batch i got was nearly dead.
• Yes they are ok to use in a flashlight but don't be surprised if you don't get all the batteries you ordered.

QUESTION: BETTER THAN SUREFIRE'S BATTERIES OR THE SAME?
• To the best of my knowledge, Surefire, Streamlight and several other top brands that indicate they are manufactured in the U.S.A. are produced in the same plant where Panasonic makes their 123 batteries. There is a forum for people who are interested in flashlight related information (I think it is called something like candlepower.com) where you can see test results from battery brand comparisons and pick up other information. As with any forum, there are opinions, facts and opinions presented as facts. With a little research you will quickly be able to discern the credible voices. Based on my own experience with Surefire, Streamlight and Panasonic batteries I would have to say that simple personal preference (brand loyalty), price (discounts) and availability varies a lot more quality, performance or life of the actual products. I'd be completely satisfied with any of the three I mentioned in a flashlight I needed to depend on in a crisis. My only advice would be to be careful with heavily disounted Chinese sourced batteries. While they may be fine, I buy American when I can, especially if the product quality is top notch - I've read about more issues with Chinese bargain batteries than I have with the US sourced ones, YMMV. I hope that helps!
• Can't answer that since I've never used the Surefire. However I've been very well pleased with the Streamlight batteries and their other products.
• Sorry friend, I just do not know the answer to your question. Have never tried the Surefire.
• I have not used the streamlight batteries yet.. I am still using up my surefire ones..sorry this isn't helpful

QUESTION: IS THIS THE SAME AS THE CR123 3V 1550MAH BATTERY? DOES THE "A AFTER THE CR123 MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
• The CR123 batteries I have are slightly taller than these, and do not fit in my streamlight tlr hl weapon light.
• There is no difference between CR123 and CR123a, batteries as far as their size. They have the same size, only their names are different and CR123A is the most common name.
• Cr123a is alkaline Cr123 is not so yes
#Streamlight_85177

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE EXPIRATION DATE ON THESE BATTERIES?
• It is my understanding that the date code on the batteries are manufacturing dates. No expiration date. Week number/year, ex: 0813, the eight week of 2013.
• These are a high quality battery. Youre looking at a long shelf life. Right around 10 years or so. Obviously this varies depending on storage and brand quality. And of course they will slowly loose some energy every year. They are high quality reliable battery. Thats why they started getting used in flashlights; was due to the long shelf life.
• Nothing on the batteries or the packaging. There is a stamped number "2413", that is all. I bought mine about six months ago and have only used a couple and they work fine when I drop them into something.
• Mine just arrived on 16 June 2015 and the code on them are 1215 meaning they were made just a few months ago in the 12th week of this year 2015. Very fresh batteries. Good for 10 years.
• I looked at the package and on the battery. No date anywhere.
• I don't have an answer to your question. I actually order a box of 12 from amazon recently. I have inspected the packaging and the batteries. Nothing was found on either that was clear cut about the expiration. What it can tell is that I use them in a Streamlight Protac flashlight during my three day work week. I usually run through a set of two about every month.
• I don't know of an actual expiration date. But, they have a shelf (unused) life of 10 years.
• I checked mine and I don't see one.
• I threw out the container and the battery itself doesn't show a date. Sorry.

QUESTION: WILL THIS WORK IN A CARBON MONOXIDE DECTOR?
• HI and thank you for your interest in our products. As long as your Carbon Monoxide detector uses 3V Lithium CR123 batteries these batteries will work just fine. Thanks again and have a great weekend.
• I don't know. It's all according to battery size required in the CO detector. Check with the detector manufacturer.
• Perfectly - if it uses a CR123A. It should last more than a year.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE MAH FOR ONE OF THESE BATTERIES?
• from various sites: 1,500mAh (google[without quotes]: "streamlight cr123a mah"). manufacturer supposedly emailed a customer 1,550mAh. I've seen rechargeables at 2,000 - I'd be leary of those claims.
• 1400 mAh.. not Energy Star Certified.....
• Not listed on Streamlight or Panasonic batteries I have. You might try one of the recommended batteries website to find out. I personally like the manufacture date on Streamlight batteries. This is the Streamlight notice from their website. Warning - Fire, Explosion, Burn Hazard: Streamlight recommends the use of Streamlight, Panasonic, Sanyo, or Energizer CR123A or Duracell 123 with it's non-rechargeable lithium battery products. For TLR-3 and TLR-4 series, Streamlight recommends the use of Panasonic, Sanyo, Duracell or Energizer size CR2. Use of other batteries or mixing of used and new or different brand batteries may present a risk of leakage, fire, explosion and serious personal injury. Do not recharge, misuse, short circuit, improperly store or discard, disassemble or heat above 212°F (100°C). Keep away from children.
• Sorry, I do not know. It's probably out there if you look deep enough. I get about a month of use from one. Work nights and use ProTac 1L maybe 5 mins or less total per night.
• not sure about mAh. I believe its between 1200-1800 mAh
• Does not specify on the cell.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE POWER OUTPUT?
• i am using 1 of the batteries in the remote dog collar receiver for my underground dog control fencing system. As well as I can tell, there is no difference in the performance compared to other brands of the 123 batteries that i currently have been using. From my perspective this is a question that only time will tell.
• 3 volts.
• My flashlight is bright again. I hope that answers your question.

QUESTION: CAN YOU LIST WHAT OTHER PRODUCTS USE CR123A BATTERIES BESIDES FLASHLIGHTS? IF YOU COULD BE SPECIFIC THAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER. THANKS
• wireless alarm systems
• yea I'm using these in my New Arlo by netgear wireless wifi security cameras and I kept 2 cameras with the original batteries it came with and 2 cameras with these batteries and they seem to be lasting just as long so 2 thumbs up.
• several laser an red & green dot sights on rifle an pistol sights.
• The only other thing I found that uses them is a laser my son bought
• I have a Princeton head lamp and a Steripen water purifier that use the CR123.
• SterPen UV water purifiers
• Ademco wireless home alarm systems use these in the fire and smoke detectors. You must have these on stock as the beeping is awful when it starts
• Outside sensor unit for Davis home weather stations....
• As previously answered, check your NEED first ie: what does your device require-then use that battery type. You might google your question-but it's the same as asking what devices use a AA, AAA, C or D-cell battery...there are FAR too many to list. I hope this helps.
• I have 2 Streamlight flashlights, but see they are recommended for outdoor security/web cameras. The price is amazing, as they are $12 for 2 in our grocery store, RayOvac ones. Are these inferior?
#CR123A_Lithium_Batteries

QUESTION: HOW LONG DOES ONE OF THESE LAST? ON A THRUNITE ARCHER 1A?
• It depends on two things 1.how big the light bulb or led is do to power consumiton and 2. how often you use it . I use mine in a on and off way to check things are ready to go . hope this helps . P.S. the bigger the bulb or LED the more battery it'll use
• I used these in a small stream light flashlight and they lasted ten minutes before they faded and died
#Streamlight_85177_Review

QUESTION: WOULD YOU SAY THIS BRAND LASTS LONGER THAN A NAMED BRAND LIKE DURACELL OR ENERGIZER?
• From tests I've seen done on these brands the Streamlight brand was a very good choice. Differences in ranking were caused by different draw rates, but Streamlight always was in the hunt and sometimes better.
• From both tests and personal experience, I'd say Streamlight is right there with the others. If you factor in the price of Duracell and Energizer vs. Streamlight, the Streamlight becomes an even more obvious choice. You won't be disappointed.
• Ive had them before and I would say these are not only cheaper but just as good ! Which is good enough for me!
• Wish I could give you an analytical answer but I can not. But I can say I have installed these in 5 or 6 different flashlights and have yet to replace for the past 1 to 2 years. I did place a second order for this.
• These are pretty high quality. I use them in my dive lights and I replaced my smoke detector with them. There very good for the price
• I would say yes. Of course that is just my opinion and because those batteries lasted so long, I have no complaints, especially for this price. I just reordered another set.
#Streamlight_85177_CR123A_Lithium_Batteries

QUESTION: DOES THIS FIT THE TLR-4 LASER & LIGHT? IT SAYS BATTERY REQUIRED IS CR2?
• The Battery has CR123A - 3v on it. I don't know if it is the same as a CR2. Sorry I can't give you an answer on this.
• The batteries here are classified as a cr123 or dl123 I believe their is a difference
• No! A CR2 is smaller than a CR123A. It also only has roughly half the capacity in mAh. These will not fit in your CR2 device.

QUESTION: I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH 6 OF THESE WITH THE HL3. AFTER USE 1 OR 2 TIMES THE BATTIERS ARE DEAD IS THIS NORMAL?
• No. The batteries usually last a couple of hours of continued use. I am an inspector and the batteries need replacing about every three days, this is after many inspections.
• I only currently use the CR123A in the Streamlight Pro-Tac X. Can't say I have had an issue going through batteries very fast at all. At least for my application with my light - I feel the batteries are performing well. Sorry I can't be of more help.
• Hi, The real question is how long did each of those times last? The run time for the HL3 is 1.5 Hours on High and 36 Hours on Low. That is what the 2nd line of the graphic on the page means http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/810x0DnMj1L._SL1500_.jpg
• If the same batteries shine dim sometimes and bright other times then it's probably your HL3 circuitry. My HL3 is unreliable for producing bright strobe and high, get an Inforce WMLx light instead, they are reliable whereas the 10-tap chip isn't.
#CR123A_Lithium_Batteries

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON MY HOME WIRELESS WINDOW SENSOR ALARM. (THE OLD BATTERY SAY CR123A)
• I don't see why not. CR123 and CR123A are the same thing, just different names. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_battery_sizes
• Yes
• Yes, you should be able to. These are just regular CR123A lithium batteries.

QUESTION: WHAT SIZE ARE THESE BATTERIES
• Height= 34.5 mm Dia = 17mm 3 volts (I had to look this up myself) I use them in flashlights that use 2 each and they make a good bright light.
• CR123A. Not sure why they are different than other batteries of the same kind as the others blow the xenon bulbs for the Streamlight Scorpion flashlight.
• CR123A Lithium Batteries
• Roberto: The Streamlight CR123A are 3volt Lithium Batteries designed especially for the Streamlight Model Protac HL 600 Lumen - 10 tap programmable. QUESTION: WHAT IS THE MA/H CAPACITY OF THESE BATTERIES? 1400/1500/1600?? ARE THEY PTC PROTECTED?
• 3.0V 1300mAh, 3.9Wh, 1.0A rate, PTC Protected, Hope that helps.
• What a bad answer Joseph McGlothren, find out what the answer is and let us know.
• no clue
#Streamlight_85177

QUESTION: I UNDERSTAND THE SHELF LIFE IS 10 YEARS, BUT WHAT IS THE EXPIRATION DATES ON THESE BATTERIES?
• I just looked at my batteries. The code I see stamped on the battery is 0613. The code indicates the week of the year for the first two digits and the last two digits for the year that the battery was made. In my case, the date code was 0613 meaning the battery was made the second week of February of 2013. So if they have a shelf life of 10 years from date of manufacture, then I'd say February of 2023. Hope that helps.
• There is no information on the battery or packaging about the expiration date. It is a nice flashlight but not even close to 1000 lumens. My Streamlight with 600 lumens blows it away, but at a cost of $70.
• There is no date stamped on the batteries that came in my flashlight.
• the actual expiration date would be impossible to determine since temperature variables have a substantial influence on battery life. dont let them get hot, and dont store them where it gets cold.

QUESTION: WHERE ARE THESE BATTERIES MADE?
• Steamlight inc. Eaglville PA 19403
• These batteries are made in U.S.A. up in Pennsylvania.
• The batteries are made by Streamlight Inc, Eagleville, PA, USA.
• Made in the USA

QUESTION: IS THE PACKAGE OR THE BATTERIES MARKED WITH A MANUFACTURED DATE?
• No. But I've purchased these before and they lasted several months as expected for the Arlo camera's I purchased them for.
• No it's not marked
• No but so far they seem very good
• The batteries I ordered had a stamp on them "3315" which I am assuming it is a manufacture date(Mar 3, 2015). Streamlight's phone number on the side of the batter is 800 523 7488 or www.streamlight.com.
• I no longer have the original packing nor can I find a typical date on the batteries. The numbers 2915 are present and might represent Feb 9, 2015. However, this probably the 3rd time I've ordered and the batteries have always lasted very well in my flashlights.
• it as a 10 year life
• they have a 10 year life
• i found that my batteries are good from 02-2025 years
• I checked the plastic case that the batteries came in, and it shows date of 0815 on mine. That appears to be the manufacture date.

QUESTION: ARE THESE SIZE D,
• No they are not D they are CR123A as stated. They are a camera or specialized size for things like small flashlights or night vision devices.
• No they are 3V
• no, these are like camera batteries
• no
• No, these are size 123A as stated in the description. They're relatively specialized and don't fall within the standard AAA, AA, C, and D sizes that you might be more familiar with. For reference though, they're about 150% the diameter of a AA battery and roughly 2/3 the length.
• No, these are sized CR123 which is a specialty use battery for certain flashlights and electronics.
• No, they look like short versions of AA batteries. Commonly used in cameras.

QUESTION: ARE THESE RECHARGEABLE? IF NOT DO YOU CARRY RECHARGEABLE?
• No, these are not rechargable. I personally do not use rechargeable CR123s in any of my duty lights just because their life is much shorter. There are time when I will be using high for long periods not time and the rechargeable ones would die much sooner.
• Streamlight CR123A are NOT rechargeable. I do NOT carry rechargeable batteries with me.
• The batteries are not rechargeable.
• They are not rechargeable. Personally, I think the price is good enough that rechargeability (did I just make up a word?) is not necessary or attractive to me.

QUESTION: I HAVE A SUREFIRE G2X PRO, WOULD THESE BATTERIES WORK AS GOOD AS SUREFIRE BATTERIES?
• Yes
• I charged them to full capacity when I got them and they keep the charge very well. I did not expect them to be anything special based on the price and I was pleasantly surprised. I have not had any surefire batteries but these work very well and as they should.
• They use the same lithium batteries as Surefire. A lithium battery is a lithium battery. No one lithium battery is virtually better than the other.
