QUESTION: I'D LIKE TO CARRY THE LIGHT CLIPPED IN MY POCKET. IS THERE ANY WORRY THAT THE THE BUTTON MIGHT ACCIDENTALLY DEPRESS WHEN I SIT DOWN?
• There is a remote possibility that it could turn on while in your back pocket, but not very likely. The on/off switch is very stiff. It's not uncommon that I sometimes have to engage it twice by hand to get it to switch on by hand. I think you're safe.
• No, it has a very positive button. No worries.
• I don't think it's too much of a concern. I wear carpenter jeans at my job (Mold Setter) every day and I keep mine clipped in the side leg pocket but even in your regular pocket I don't think it'd be much of an issue. One thing I really like about this light is that it's a push and hold type light, meaning I push and hold the button for the few seconds I want to see something, and the click is a sturdy one you have to push hard to click it to stay one. Not super hard bit hard enough that you can't click it on by accident. I love my light and will buy another one for home too. I won't ever but a bulb light again, I'm done with the weak lights with bulbs, LED is the way to go.
• I've been carrying one for over a year and I don't think mine has ever came on when I didn't want it to. I'm climbing in and out of trucks and equipment all the time. I guess something might hit the button once in a while but it has to click for it to stay on.
• No way! It takes a deliberate push "into" the light with the tip of your finger or thumb. I don't think it would turn on if the light were dropped directly on the switch button.
• i have carried this light pen on my blazer pocket and the front pocket of my pants for over a year and it has never accidentally turn itself on . i think you will be happy with the quality and brightness of this pen light. it is always a good thing to have an extra pair of batteries at work or in the car, just in case.
• If it's clipped to your pocket I'd say no.. Unless you leave it on by accident
• ABSOLUTELY NOT. The place you are to press to activate the light is hard to press. Mine takes force. Great little thing though. Many times a blessing in the car. Much better then those old clunky glove box flashlights that aren't half as bright & there big batteries run down without use. PHEW! Sorry so long.
• yes
• I actually shimmed my button with little bits of plastic under the rubber cap, to make the button easier to activate. It's buried and quite stiff. I think you're far more likely to pop off the pocket clip and lose the clip. (happened twice on mine, lucky enough to find it again both times -- And I squeezed closed the part that holds onto the barrel to grip tighter, but i'm not sure of the effectiveness there.) Just make sure the light is INSIDE the pocket, and you should be okay to not lose the flashlight itself. :o)

QUESTION: I LOST THE RUBBER BOOT THAT COVERS THE SWITCH. HAS ANYONE FOUND A REPLACEMENT?
• You should be able to get a replacement part (#660031) from Streamlight.
• I think mine came with a spare boot but I don't remember the "safe place" I put it. I lost the pocket clip on mine....wish I had it too! Sorry, no help.
• I would contact Streamlight. I'm sure they have them.
• Nope
• Contact streamlight and they will send another.

QUESTION: I'M HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE TOGGLE ON/OFF SWITCH. WHERE DO I SEND IT BACK UNDER THE WARRANTY COVERAGE?? ONLY HAD IT THREE MONTHS.
• it is a design flaw that the company has ignored. I fixed mine by trimming down one of those sticking foam pads you use on the corners of kitchen cabinet doors. Trim the pad to fit on the top of the white on/off button that is under the black rubber boot covering the switch, Works great!
• Try punching shims from a thin piece of plastic; such as pringles top or coffee can cover; with a hole puncher. The punch outs are moisture proof as opposed to paper shims, fit nicely in the light, and can be stacked depending on how you want your light to function. I'm using only 1 shim (coffee can plastic) and have momentary and reasonably easy switch to steady on.
• I also shimmed my button with just some tiny cut up pieces of plastic the right size to fit in there. I put them in the rubber to help press down the actual button. It's been fine since then. Still a bit stiff to activate, but I like that because it's not turning on by itself in my bag.
• The company ignored my issues with this switch as well. It appears to be something they refuse to address. Thanks for your tips on fixing a flaw, MYSELF
• DavE's answer was spot on. I used a standard hole punch and punched out a couple of shims, using the lid from an inexpensive TupperWare clone. The punched out holes fit perfectly into the inside of the rubber switch pad. I tried using two plastic shims first, thinking one would not be enough (they ARE very thin). However, that made the button too sensitive for the intermittent on feature (just a finger touch powered up the light). I removed one of the shims and the switch now works perfectly, using only one.
• The switch on the one I got April 2015 would not click to stay on unless I shoved at it with my thumbnail. I sent an email to cs@streamlight.com explaining the problem and providing the serial number (not sure if that mattered) and they mailed a replacement tailcap assembly right away.
• Make sure the top is tightened all of the way. I thought my switch was broken until I twisted the top clockwise to tighten it.

QUESTION: DOES IT COME WITH THE BELT POUCH?
• Yes, it does.
• yes
• Yes, I was about to write that it came with this weird thing. But, scrutinizing it more, it is a belt pouch.
• Yes
• Yes. At least it did a year ago when we purchased it. Great little light.
• Chuck holmberg drives a cummins
• Yes this does, as well as two AAA Batteries.
• Yes the belt pouch come with it. I buy them for my mechanics. They like them a lot.

QUESTION: HOW FAR DOES THIS BEAM SHINE? I'M BUYING IT FOR A PILOT THAT NEEDS A COMPACT FLASHLIGHT TO SEE THE TOP OF A TAIL ON A PLANE, ABOUT 23 FEET TALL.
• My house is 2000 Sq. Ft. and it will shine from one end to the other. Extra bright a Dr. could never use this light to check your eyes. It comes with the warning not to look directly into the light because it could damage your vision because it's so bright.
• Definitely. I use it to spy on my neighbors when walking the dog. I'd say it's effective to ~75-100 feet
• Get the Streamlight 88040 Protac HL. It is compact, has a belt holster, and is 600 lumens on high. It has a combination flood/spot beam that is perfect for inspecting aircraft. It runs on 2 CR123A batteries. It puts out an amazing amount of light on high, but it also has a low mode (50 lumens) and a strobe mode. You can program the on/off switch as well. It runs about $75, but I have seen it as cheap as $67 on Amazon. Well worth the money. Machined aluminum case and waterproof.
• Seems like you might need a bigger light for that, it is great and bright for short distances, I wouldn't use it for 23ft, but it is a great light.
• It does reach at that height if is dark. I use it on trailers and it is about 50 feet long so I think you will be good.
• I think it would do the trick. It depends on what you're looking to see on that tail, but it would light it up pretty well in the dark if you're looking for damage.
• Should be no problem at 23 feet.
• Also try the 88033 light. That is a awesome little light bit it is about 1 in. around.
• For something that important, I really have to say get something more powerful. This won't illuminate wet surfaces too well, so if he's out there in the rain, he will really wish he had something more. User Geronimo may be onto something with his answer.

QUESTION: I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERIES IN MY LIGHT AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK, NOW WHAT?
• We have one and the switch went bad. We tried the switch from another and it worked fine. if you google "streamlight stylus pro replacement switch" you'll find a replacement for a few dollars.
• Return it.
• It took me a while ass well try to put the batteries all kind of ways till you get it right
#Streamlight_66118

QUESTION: IS THE BULB AND BATTERY SPRINGS REPLACEABLE OR FIXABLE IF THE SPRINGS WEAR OUT OR BULB BURNS OUT/BECOMES DAMAGED?
• I think the spring can be repaired. After looking at the light, I am not sure the bulb can be replaced. Good question. It is a nice light and very bright for the size.
• I own 3, the oldest being 3+ years old, the only problem I had was the plastic liner that coats the battery sleeve came out in the oldest one. I use this light 5 days+ a week in nasty situations. It's awsome. Wont go wrong with this purchase.
• Can't say for sure but I don't think the bulb is easily accessed. Is an led so it's probably soldered in place.
• I don't see any way to access the bulb. I believe if the bulb dies you replace the whole flashlight.
• There is no "bulb" in the Stylus Pro. It uses a light emitting diode (L.E.D.) which should last tens of thousands of hours. If it fails, contact Streamlight customer service for warranty repair or replacement.
• I have cleaned my contacts (both ends) with a long q-tip but I have never had to adjust the spring (that's easily accessible in the tailcap). I think the LED is in there really solid. That end doesn't come apart. Assuming it's not a defect for the bulb, in 30 years when it finally fails i'm sure there will be a much better model to upgrade to. Anyway, LEDs don't normally just all the sudden go out. They just get dimmer and dimmer a n d d i m m e r ... so foreseeably, it would still be useful long after the rated life of the bulb, just at lower intensity.
• No experience.

QUESTION: CAN A WRIST LANYARD BE ATTACHED TO THE STYLUS PRO MODEL?
• If you use a key ring yes.
• Not that I can see, it does have a good pocket clip that you could probabally attach one to.
• no
• No. I do not see how it can be attach it to a wrist lanyard. There is no real way to secured the Stylus. You take a chance of it getting lost or falling.
• no it just has the paper clip style

QUESTION: DOESN'T WORK, HOW LONG IS WARRANTY AND WHERE DO I SEND IT?
• the warranty is a lifetime warranty. as far as where to send it just look up who makes it and get in touch with them. then when you are asked for your serial number it will be on the side of your stylus.
• Limited lifetime warranty. Contact streamlight.
• all information is on the packaging... other then that try the streamlight website
• Streamlight warrants its products to be free of defects for a lifetime of use except for batteries and bulbs, abuse and normal wear*. We will repair, replace or refund the purchase price of this product should we determine it to be defective. This limited lifetime warranty also excludes rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches and electronics which have a 2 year warranty with proof of purchase. THIS IS THE ONLY WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED BY LAW. You may have other specific legal rights which vary by jurisdiction.
• Phone 1-800-523-7488 Streamlight Service/Repair Department 30 Eagleville Road Suite 100 Eagleville, PA 19403-3996
• Try this: after inserting the batteries and screwing the end cap back on, turn the end cap back and forth. Tighten, loosen, tighten it. Mine occasionally will not turn on unless I do the above. I think the anodizing on the threads is preventing good contact between the body and the end cap. Good luck.

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE RISK OF RADIATION? IS IT SAFE TO DO AN EYE EXAM WITH?
• It's an LED flashlight powered by AAA batteries, not uranium. You should be fine.
• It's ridiculously bright to be shining in someone's eyes. They might not be able to take it.
• This light is about 65 lumens and quite bright to shine into the eyes. Try going with something like 20 lumens or less streamlight stylus!
#Streamlight_66118

QUESTION: CAN THIS ACTUALLY BE USED AS A STYLUS TOO? OR IS IT JUST THE NAME?
• It is not a stylus, just named that due to its shape.
• No it can't be used as a stylus because it would scratch the screen or maybe even Crack it. So yes I think it is just a name because of it's size.
• Just the name
• No. The tip to turn it on is soft but not meant as a stylus
• No, as some others have said, the tip is soft like a stylus, but it will scratch and or break the screen. So it is just the name.
• In no way is this a stylus to use on a touch screen. It's just a name.
• it is just the name
• the word "stylus" meant a writing tool from around circa "way back" B.C., right up to the days before the mighty demon tablet society took over the world and forgot how to make up their own words and/or movie plots and scripts, giving birth to the terms "prequel" and "re-boot". so, to answer your question, yes this could be used as a stylus in the original, correct, sense of the word because you could easily write in the sand with it. however, if you are referring to the depraved act of using an instrument to scroll through menus or pages on your cursed tablet because you would surely develop blisters from such strenuous activity, then i would advise against it.
• Just the name

QUESTION: WILL IT FIT ON A REGULAR PEN WRAP ON A MAXPEDITION BAG? THX.
• I don't think it will fit inside a regular pen pouch on Maxpedition bags. If so, it will be a VERY tight fit. If you want a slightly thinner pen light for that, check out the 4Sevens Preon 2, costs more- but worth it
• Yes.!!it did fit thank you
• It should. I fits in the pen holder on my reflective vests and coverallx

QUESTION: WOULD THIS BE A GOOD TOOL FOR MEDICAL PERSONAL TO CHECK PUPILS WITH, OR IS THE LED TOO INTENSE?
• I would say too intense. Not the brightest but my wife's a nurse and I think she would agree that it's to bright for that.
• I am in the ER and I have found out that it works well especially if you have some experience checking pupils. Now I never shine the main center beam directly to the eyes because it is a bit intense. Instead I use the part of the beam on the outer edge which works great, it gives you plenty of light to check pupils and at the same time is not so intense that it blinds the patient. Let me know if you need more info.
• I feel personally that it is a bit too intense. It really left me feeling blind except for the little white light in the center of my blackness. It kinda hurt. Of course I am Blue eyed and as such may be a bit photosensitive compared to most.
• It is too bright to check for pupils.
• I agree with the others, too intense for that purpose.
• Very good for general medical use, but way too bright for pupils.
• I would be close to certain that this would be too intense for the eye.
• I think this light would be too intense.
• From personal experience on accident, it is too intense
• The LED is too intense. I don't recommend it for that use.
#Streamlight_66118_Stylus_Pro_Black

QUESTION: DOES EVERYONE THAT HAS THIS LIGHT HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER?
• Yes. It is printed on the outside under the words Stylus Pro. I have two so I will compare and see if they are different.
• Not sure? I don't see a ser# on the outside. We use this light as an inspection light in our manufacturing facility. All employees have one.
• Yes
#Streamlight_66118

QUESTION: DOES THE SILVER STYLIS PRO HAVE THE SAME C4 LED AS THE BLACK ONE? BLACK ONE HAS 65 LUMENS BUT THE SPECS FOR THE SILVER STATE 48 LUMENS.
• It depends on who you are buying from. Some dealers sell old outdated inventory at low prices. You have to ask each dealer. C2SAFETY INC is selling the latest and newest version with 65 lumens. Item is in stock and we ship same day. Authorized Streamlight dealer. Best regards C2CSAFETY INC
• The red one has the same c4 led as the black one so I would assume the silver one dose also.
• If the model number is the same (66118) I would think that it is the same brightness, but just a different color. I have experienced a few different misprints on different items advertised on Amazon. I know this wasn't an answer to your question but hopefully it helps you make your decision. BTW... I am very happy with the three black 66118's that I own. The first is 2-1/2 years old and the other two only a year old. They are very bright lights for there size! Check Streamlight's website to see what they say. Hopefully they will have the correct specs!

QUESTION: HOW MANY OF THESE DO YOU HAVE IN STOCK? I NEED 75 OF THEM.
• 81
• I have 13 in stock that includes a red, silver, orange and blue one, In black only 9.
• We have about 20 in stock right now, but can definitely obtain more from our distributor. Please let us know and we can definitely work something out.
• I have one.

QUESTION: I BOUGHT A FLASHLIGHT AND THE SWITCH DOESN'T WORK ALL THE TIME HOW DO I GET WARENTY DONE??
• Cant answer that, before you condemn light make sure end cap is tight ,or else you will have an intermittent ground. even if you think switch is not not working,twist/tighten end cap.use mine for work and encounter frequently,a slight twist always corrects. Have never had to return one of these lights
• Call this phone # 1-800-523-7488 I had the same thing go wrong with my light. They said they Are sending me a new switch. I then went back to amazon, and ordered a new one, so I will have a back up. I use my light several times a day.
• Its a common problem with these lights, although they are awesome lights. Once in awhile get a bad switch. About the only thing that breaks on them. Send light here: Streamlight Repair Department 30 Eagleville Road Suite 100 Eagleville, PA 19403 STREAMLIGHT FACTORY 610-631-0600 800-523-7488 FAX: 610-631-0712 FAX: 800-220-7007

QUESTION: IS THIS FLASHLIGHT WATERPROOF?
• no
• Yes very waterproof I'm a plumber and I drop it all the time in water never a problem I've gotten three of them so I'm never without one
• I'm not sure about waterproof but definitely very resistant. All openings seem well sealed with a rubber o-ring or gasket.
#Streamlight_66118

QUESTION: HAS THE COMPANY FIXED THE ON/OFF SWITCH?
• I don't know the answer to that. I did lose my first light and ordered another but saw no difference in the switch operation. It does require a firm push to operate but the total flashlight is great.
• There is nothing wrong with the original switch. It is meant to be turned on only by firm downward depression of the on/off switch. This light is meant to be carried on the cusp of a pant pocket or on a vest or other gear with the back end of the light exposed for retrieval. It is purposely less sensitive so that the light is not accidentally switched on or off from being bumped or rubbed against while in use or clipped on to your clothes or gear.
• I've had no problems with switch
• It's a very stiff on/off switch . However , you do hear a fairly loud click when it's turned on. Just have to push kinda hard. Still a great pen.

QUESTION: DOES THIS 66118 HAVE A WHITE LED. I BOUGHT A COUPLE LIGHTS LAST YEARS AND DIDNT NOTICED BUT SOME WERE GREEN. THEREFORE, I WANT TO MAKE SURE I GET THE WHITE LED THIS TIME.
• Yes this light has a white led. The light it shines is white.
• The 66118 comes with white LED. C2CSAFETY INC ships same day.

QUESTION: I'VE FORGOTTEN HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES FOR THIS LIGHT? CAN ANYONE HELP?
• unscrew the top were the button is to turn it on
• Twist the cap where the push button is.
• The pocket clip is the cap for the flashlight. unscrew this. It will take 18 to 20 revolutions. remove cap, replace battery and replace cap!
• Unscrew the rear cap were the Hutton an the clip is. You may need to pop the clip off to put the cap back on.
• Yeah, it can be a bit stiff to unscrew, therefore making it less obvious. The tailcap is only the last few millimeters, so grip only that part. I needed a pliers with a towel around them (to prevent toolmarks) when my batteries *finally* died. I also had a little trouble figuring out where exactly to unscrew, so you're not alone.
• Seriously?? Unscrew the back and put new ones in.

QUESTION: I CAN SEE ON THE IMAGE (12 COUNT) DOES THAT MEAN THATIF I ORDER THIS I WILL GET 12 FLASHLIGHTS? I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THIS ANYWHERE ON THE DESCRIPTION.
• I'm sure they borrowed an image. For $23 you definitely get one light. It's a great light. I've got 3.
• You will receive one flashlight.
#Streamlight_66118

QUESTION: DOES THIS LIGHT TAKES AAA RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES?
• yes
• Rechargeable batteries should work just fine.
• I haven't personally tried rechargeable batteries, but I see no reason for them to not work since it does take normal AAAs.
• Sure.. Why not
• Yes it will. But unless you're using this thing like nonstop, you'll be replacing them much more often than disposable batteries, just because of self-discharge. Personally I use it rather infrequently (however it is indispensable when I need it). Be aware that LITHIUM disposable batteries are higher voltage and will shorten the life of the bulb. They will provide flipping brilliant light doing it too.
• It'll run on any AAA battery. I personally use the cheapest I can find. Usually the 8pack from the Dollar Store.

QUESTION: IS THIS THE C4 MODEL? I WOULD LIKE TH 48 LUMEN VERSION.

QUESTION: DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS LIGHT BEING GOOD FOR MEDICAL USE (PUPILLARY REFLEX, ETC)? OR IS IT TOO BRIGHT? THANKS.
• Though I am not very well trained this light seems too bright for pupillary reflex. That being said it would not be a waste of money. It is an excellent light.
• It had worked well for me when I have used it for an eye exams.. I also use the UV Stylus for darker color eyes in near total darkness. I hope this helps.
• I would definitely say too bright. I had it shines in my eyes for a brief second and I was seeing spots for a minute or so.
• MUCH too bright, inappropriate for pupillary reflex testing.
• Medical pen light is about 3-4 Lumens. This thing is around 50.
• Super bright! Great for hunting!

QUESTION: WHAT SIZE BATTERY DOES THIS FLASHLIGHT USE?
• Two AAA batteries.
• 2-AAA
• It takes 2 AAA batteries and comes with a pair to get you started.
• 2 Triple AAA batteries
• aaa x 2

QUESTION: DOES THE LIGHT HAVE A "MOMENTARY ON" MODE (I.E. CAN YOU PARTIALLY DEPRESS AND HOLD THE SWITCH, OR DO YOU HAVE TO CLICK AND RELEASE FOR LIGHT)?
• Yes it does have a momentary mode. You can also lock out the light by unscrewing the tail cap by one half turn.
• Hi yeah you can push and hold the torch on or push fully to have the torch on permanently. Very happy with the torch.
• Click and release
• yes, you can half press for light.
• Yes, it does function that way. It's not too finicky either, there's a very good range of travel in the switch before it engages to click into the on position.
• Yes, it has a "momentary on" mode. A very nice light - highly recommended.

QUESTION: DOES THIS LIGHT COME WITH AN EXTRA RUBBER END CAP?
• I received mine in original unopened package with no extra cap.
• The one I ordered and got didn't.
• No it does not
• Good question. No, it only comes with a little nylon pouch to carry it in, if you choose not to use the metal picket clip attached to the light. But the one that I carried for the previous 6 years withstood pretty constant use and did a great job. In fact, the reason I replaced it was for the very question you asked. The rubber end cap finally wore off, and I was worried about getting moisture in it. But that was after 6 years of pretty hard use! Hope that helps.
• No

QUESTION: DOES THIS LIGHT HAVE A FOCUSABLE BEAM? DO ANY OF THE STEAMLIGHTS?
• This light does not, I don't know of some of their other lights do, I imagine some do they make so many different ones. This one is focused nicely though, a narrow straight beam that, in the dark you can see over 100 ft away. I was really impressed with the distance the beam goes!
• The Stylus Pro does not have an adjustable focus. Some Streamlight models do have adjustable focus. Check their website for details on focusable models.
• No not the ones I own

• No...the clip is built where it's located and that's at the top of the pen.
• No. It is pretty much fused to the top. While less flexible, it sure is sturdy.
• Actually, IT CAN. Mine is pretty tight clipped to the flashlight tube, however, it does snap off (which happens accidentally at rare times) - and I just tried it. Move the clip halfway down, reversed, and put it under my ballcap - and it hangs just fine.

QUESTION: HELLO EVERYONE.. STREAMLIGHT SAYS THIS MODEL NUMBER COMES WITH A 65 LUMEN OUTPUT. CAN YOU VERIFY THAT IS 65 LUMENS AND NOT 48?
• packaging says 65 lumens
• Well 65 Lumens, 890 candela, is what Streamlight says on their site. What I can say is that the 6618 is very bright and the runtime is about what they say it is. Never actually timed it but it's a long time. I do computer and network troubleshooting. I carried one for 7 years. When I recently lost it on a road trip I immediately ordered a new one.
