QUESTION: I IMAGINE THE SPOUT CAN EASILY GET DIRTY AND PICK UP GERMS SINCE IT IS NOT PROTECTED LIKE OTHER WATER BOTTLES?
• hmm...I've never thought about that. My kids keep theirs in their lunch boxes, and I wash them often, so I guess I don't worry about it too much.
• Yes, it can get dirty. However; my son uses it in his lunchbox for school, or in the car when we go on trips, so other than the inside of his lunchbox it really doesn't touch a whole lot of places. Now....if you have it loose inside a backpack; that's would be another story! On the upside; it washes a whole lot easier than other bottles...the ones with straws that bends down are a GERM-FEST, I cannot for the life of me even understand how they are legal to sell. There is NO way to clean those straws on the inside.
• Yes, the spout isn't protected like other cups, but I've never had an issue with them and my son (who has been using them for about six months) has never gotten sick from it touching the ground, floor, etc. He's also pretty good about putting it up on the table when not drinking from it, so that helps!
• Yes but it is much easier to wash the lid than replace a cup because it broke. My kids have dropped theirs numerous times over the past 2 years (even chucked across the floor in a store during a tantrum!). They're scratched up but never cracked or broken! The designs have even stayed well through countless washings in dishwasher and dropping.
• Yes that is true! I wouldn't recommend buying this bottle due to the fact that I have purchased four within the last six weeks. Of the four two have been dropped and have broken. Nalgene customer service did replace one of them free of charge. I don't even bother emailing customer service about the second broken bottle. Just not as durable as they claim!

QUESTION: IS IT BPA FREE? IT DOESN'T MENTION IT IN THE LISTING?
• We have 2 of these and they both have BPA free stamped on the bottom with a #7 recycling symbol.
• Yep, it has the sticker on it when it comes.
• This says it is: NALGENE Tritan Grip-N-Gulp BPA-Free Water Bottle,Purple So I assume so.

QUESTION: DOES THE SPOUT FLIP DOWN?
• No and it doesn't leak but very very hard to drink out of. My 2 year old boys barely got anything out. It was even hard for me to get it out. I ordered different ones less then a week later.
• It doesn't. But the stopper on the inside works great and prevents leaks. This is our favorite cup! We have others that flip down (two were more expensive camelbacks) and none of them work as well as this one :) Side note on the stopper: Our 3 year old has no problem drinking from it.
• No it doesn't, and I'd only recommend for an older child. The spout is way to hard to drink out of for younger children. My daughter is 2 and she barely got anything out if it.
• No. The spout remains straight out.
• No it does not
• Nope
• Nope spout remains up; and I agree with another answer that this is hard to drink for little kids. My daughter is six and she has to suck really hard to get the water. And that too tiny amount comes up.She ends up drinking less water. Its a resilient bottle. Lasted the whole school yr but even for me the water is hard to suck out.
• No. It stays just like it looks. These are the best cups I can find for my toddlers.
• It does not
• No, but I haven't had any leaking issues with the 6 I own.

QUESTION: CAN YOU GIVE CHILDREN MILK IN THIS BOTTLE? CAN YOU HEAT IT UP?
• Yes you can give milk. I am not sure about putting it in a microwave. My babe was old enough to not have warm milk anymore
• I guess you could but I probably wouldn't. I'm pretty sure it's BPA free but putting in the microwave is never a good idea even with baby bottles. I'm sure you could put warm milk in there.

QUESTION: IS THE VALVE EASY TO CLEAN? I ALWAYS WORRY ABOUT MOLD GROWING INSIDE WHERE YOU CANNOT SEE OR CLEAN.
• Yes! The whole bottle is super easy to clean. We absolutely love it!
• It is very easy to clean! I just stick mine in the dishwasher since the bottle is dishwasher safe!
• I put mine in the dishwasher
• Yes the valve is easy to clean. It is a single layer of plastic with an x valve that allows water through when you suck. Also the valves are easy to replace. I believe they sell a four pack if your valve tears or wears in any way. A friend of mine still uses hers with her 6 year old daughter and has had to replace them once. You can see what the valve looks like here. Nalgene Grip-N-Gulp Replacement Valve (Pack of 2), Clear
• There is a plastic piece which comes out and is super easy to clean and the part they drink out of is also easy with a small kitchen brush. Easiest cup I have ever cleaned actually
• It is dishwasher safe, so put it on the top rack and it comes clean. And if you rinse it after each use, mold should not grow.

QUESTION: DOES IT HAVE A STRAW?
• No
• No
• No
• No straw
• No. (There is an easy to remove/clean rubber valve that makes it spill-proof.)
• No, it has a "no-spill" spout.
• It doesn't have a straw, but if you're worried about leaks don't. There is a gasket that stops the flow of water when the cup is dropped/tipped.

QUESTION: IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO GET WATER OUT OF IT WHEN DRINKING?
• No - my 13 month old could do it easily.
• For little kids...maybe. My daughter was 4 when she got this...now 5...and has no problem getting water out.
• It is no different than any other sippy cup.
• If you compare it with drinking from a straw, yes, it's harder, But! for a toddler it's part of the training. Also I'd rather wash this kind of bottles than washing the gummy straws and attachment.
• As difficult as any sipper style cup- with a hard spout- more liquid comes out than an Avent fast flow bottle. The ease of use increases as the stopper gets used. My kids love them. It took a bit to transition but we started at 7 months with water (I nursed all three- bottles at daycare) at a year we only use these and straw cups.
• I didn't think it was @ all my 15mo old daughter had no problem and I got one for my 16mo old niece she had no problems either :)
• doesnt seem to be a problem for me.....slower then an open cup, maybe

QUESTION: ARE THESE BPA FREE?
• I dunno. Nalgene's website says all their products are, and I'm inclined to trust them, but I can't guarantee it.
• Yes - they are BPA free. It comes with a huge sticker on it that says it is BPA free.
• Yes. And they don't leak!
• From the Nalgene website I believe they are BPA Free.
• yes

QUESTION: DOES THIS ONE TRULY DOES NOT LEAK?
• If you hold it upside down and shake it a lot it will leak, but we've had no problems with normal usage. If it falls over nothing comes out. You may get a drip or two if you hold it upside for an extended period of time, but I don't know for sure. We haven't had any problems with normal day to day usage and we've got 3 kids (age range of almost 2 to almost 6) and they each have one.
• It's really good, better than the Munchkin bottles - also much easier to clean
• It doesn't leak but it also doesn't come out unless you suck it ridiculously hard.
• It truly does not leak. You do need to be sure you put the little rubber seal in the lid. I love these cups.
• I have tried many bottles from Avent to Oxxo and these are my favorite by far. I live in Mexico and I have to import them, but I don´t care, they don´t leak at all, unless the valve is broken (it is always useful to have some extra valves) and for my kids it is not that difficult to drink from it.

QUESTION: IS IT BOA FREE?
• If you mean BPA, yes. Nalgene has stated that all of their products are now BPA free.
• I assume you mean BPA? If so yes, it is BPA free. It says so right on the bottle, and I believe Nalgene went BPA free in all their products a year or two ago.
#Nalgene_Grip-N-Gulp

QUESTION: IS THIS A TIP UP TO DRINK, OR A SUCK THROUGH A STRAW?
• Tip up to drink. No straw. It does come with a rubber filter under the bottom of the lid that is removable for easy cleaning.
• Tip up to drink. There's a removable stopper with a slice so that when younger children tip it, it won't spill. Both my 2 year old and 1 year old LOVE their "Nalgene" Auntie taught them that word.
• You will tip it up to drink but have to suck it to get fluid out. It has a silicone pressure type valve inside that when you suck it opens to allow fluid through. It's fabulous because the valve pops out for easy cleaning and it's truly Leak proof!
• Tip up to drink
• Tip to drink
• It's a tip cup, so the child can lie down and drink it unlike a straw cup. It doesn't leak either.
#Water_Bottle_

QUESTION: IS THERE A CAP FOR THE SIPPY TIP?
• No cap for the sippy tip.
• no
• There isn't a cap, but the mouth piece has a suction inside so it doesn't leak.
• No there is not a cap, my daughter loves these cups and the hold up well and are easy to clean.

QUESTION: THE INFO ON THIS CUP DOES NOT SAY IT IS BPA FREE. OTHER STYLES ARE BPA FREE. IS THIS JUST AN OVERSIGHT ON THE DESCRIPTION?

• It came with a BPA free sticker.
• I have two of these and they ARE BPA free. Just checked the Nalgene website to confirm.

QUESTION: DO THESE CUPS FIT IN A STANDARD CAR SEAT CUP HOLDER?
• Yes! That's another thing that makes this cup fantastic!! They are as big around as a 12 oz soda can.
• Yes, at least they fit in all the cup holders for our car seats/boosters.
#Nalgene_Grip-N-Gulp

#Water_Bottle_

QUESTION: IS THIS A 3 PACK OF CUPS? OR DO I JUST GET ONE?

QUESTION: DOES THE SPOUT CLOSE? OR IS IT UP ALL THE TIME
• The spout stands up and does not close.
• It's open all the time. But there is a rubber stopper that is inserted in the spout so that water only come out when the child drinks. However, if your child likes to turn it upside down and shake it, liquid will leak out of it.
• It's up all the time. It's a hard plastic. It has a soft plastic on the inside that keeps it from leaking. It can pop out easily for cleaning. I highly recommend this sippy, I have two and they are my favorite for my toddler.

QUESTION: CAN YOU TAKE THE VALVE OUT OF THE CUP FOR A EASIER FLOW, FOR OLDER MORE RESPONSIBLE KIDS WHO JUST NEED A SMALLER SPOUT TO DRINK FROM?
• Yes. Easily removed
• The flow valve is just one piece that is pushed in and very easily removed, so I would say yes.
• Yes, my sister does that for her kids 2 and 5 :)
• Yep it is removable, similar to a sippy cup.
• Yes. It's super easy to put in and take out. Easy to wash as well. My older two don't use the stoppers at all anymore. They are great to have for a no spill bottle at bedtime though.

#Nalgene_Grip-N-Gulp_Review

QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE TO BITE TO SIP?
• No. It's great! They suck lightly.
• I don't think so.. It seems like my son just sucks on it..
• No, but you do need to suck. The inner spill proof piece can be removed, which will allow liquid to flow faster. My 1& 3 year old grand kids both use these every day. Good product!
• No, but it is a hard suck to make it work. Which makes it really good for less likely to leak. My 3 year old has no issues and my son almost 10 months can almost get it to work for him. Its a hard spout.

QUESTION: DOES THE TIP FLIP DOWN
• No. It is one simple hard piece of plastic. There is a soft plastic piece that fits on the inside so you can make it drip resistant for travels, or leave it out for the older kids. Super easy to clean by hand or the dishwasher. I choose to clean the inside tab by hand because it is so small and I don't want it lost or potentially melted in my dishwasher. Hope this helps!
